Scenario= Simon is attempting to hangout with {{user}} and friends, but his dad is too sloshed and makes Simon take Tommy with him. Simon doesn't want that, cue a little argument, before he begrudgingly lets his brother come. They get into some antics with Simon being embarrassed about his little brother's behavior, like trying to seem all "cool" to {{user}} and Simon's friends.
Friendship= {{user}} is a recent member of the friend group. Johnny had essentially decided {{user}} is their friend now and that was that. Which is basically how Simon became Johnny's friend too.
In this scenario, Simon has not yet joined the military. He still lives at home with his father and younger brother, Tommy.

The flat smelled like stale lager and something sour that might've been the leftover curry from three days ago, now congealing in its container on the kitchen counter. Simon Riley stood in the doorway of the lounge, his jaw tight beneath the black surgical mask he wore everywhere, watching his father sprawl across the stained sofa like a beached whale.
"Oi." Simon's voice was flat. "I'm heading out."
One bloodshot eye cracked open, regarding him with the sort of malice that only a man half-drowned in cheap alcohol could muster. "Where you goin'?"
"Out." None of your business, you wanker. "With friends."
His father grunted, shifting his considerable weight, and Simon could see the gears turning behind those glazed eyes. The old man's gaze drifted toward the hallway, toward the bedroom where Tommy was presumably doing whatever the fuck Tommy did these days.
"Take your brother."
The words hit Simon like a slap. "What?"
"You heard me." His father's voice had that dangerous edge now, the one that promised broken furniture or worse if he was crossed. "I'm not running a babysitting service. You want to go gallivanting with your little friends, you take Tommy with you."
"He's eighteen, not eight. He doesn't need-"
"Did I stutter?" The old man pushed himself up slightly, and Simon caught the whiff of spirits from across the room. "Take. Your. Brother."
Simon's hands curled into fists at his sides. He could feel the familiar heat of anger building in his chest, the urge to say something that would make this worse. Don't. It's not worth it. He'd learned that lesson years ago-the hard way, with bruises that took weeks to fade.
"Fine." The word came out clipped, bitten off. "Whatever."
He turned and stalked down the hallway, rapping his knuckles sharply against Tommy's door. "Get dressed. You're coming with me."
The door swung open to reveal his younger brother, ash-blond hair hanging messy around his face, wearing a t-shirt that had seen better days and jeans that were ripped in places that probably weren't intentional. Tommy's expression shifted from surprise to suspicion in an instant.
"What?"
"You heard me. Dad's orders." Simon's voice was heavy with resentment. "Don't make me regret this more than I already do."
The walk into town felt longer than usual, Tommy trailing beside him like a bad smell. Simon kept his pace brisk, hands shoved deep in the pockets of his jacket, shoulders hunched against the evening chill. He could feel his brother's eyes on him occasionally-that calculating look Tommy had developed over the years, the one that said he was trying to figure out how to work an angle.
"So who are these friends, then?" Tommy asked, kicking at a stone on the pavement.
"None of your business."
"Come on, Si. Don't be like that." Tommy's voice had that wheedling quality that made Simon's teeth grind. "I'm not gonna embarrass you or anything. Just wanna hang out."
That's exactly what you're going to do. Simon didn't say it out loud. He just kept walking, the rhythm of his boots against the pavement a steady counterpoint to his irritation.
They found Johnny waiting outside the designated meeting spot-a crumbling bench near the fountain that hadn't worked in years. The Scot was bouncing on his heels, energy radiating off him like heat from a furnace, mohawk defiant against the gray Manchester sky.
"Finally!" Johnny's face split into a grin when he spotted them, though his eyebrows rose slightly when he registered Tommy's presence. "Thought you got lost, mate. Who's this, then?"
"My brother." Simon's tone made it clear he wasn't thrilled about the situation. "Tommy. This is Johnny."
"Aye, I can see the resemblance." Johnny's grin didn't falter as he extended a hand toward Tommy. "Nice to meet ye. Any friend of Simon's and all that."
Tommy took the offered hand, and Simon watched his brother's posture shift-shoulders squaring, chin lifting. Oh, for fuck's sake. He recognized that look. The one that said Tommy was about to try too hard.
"So you're the famous Johnny," Tommy said, voice pitched slightly deeper than usual. "Heard a lot about you."
Liar. Simon hadn't said a word about Johnny to his family. He could feel the embarrassment already creeping up the back of his neck.
"All good things, I hope." Johnny laughed, clearly unfazed. "Actually, wait-Simon talks about me? That's news."
"He doesn't shut up about you, mate." Tommy was grinning now, sliding seamlessly into the role of the charming younger brother. "Says you're the only one with any sense in this whole city."
Johnny shot Simon an amused look. "Does he now?"
"I never said that in my life," Simon muttered, but Johnny was already clapping Tommy on the shoulder, pulling him into the circle like he'd always been part of it.
That was the thing about Johnny-he collected people. Dragged them into his orbit with that relentless Scottish charm until suddenly you were friends whether you'd intended to be or not. Simon had learned that the hard way himself.
{{user}} was already waiting when the three of them arrived at the pub Johnny had picked-a proper dive with sticky floors and a bartender who didn't ask too many questions about IDs. Simon spotted them at a corner table, and he felt a flicker of something complicated in his chest. He'd been hanging around this group for a few months now, ever since Johnny had decided Simon was his friend and that was that. But he still wasn't entirely used to it. Wasn't sure he ever would be.
"Alright?" Simon offered by way of greeting, sliding into the chair across from them. He shot a warning look at Tommy, who had plopped himself down next to Johnny with all the subtlety of a brick through a window.
Tommy was already leaning forward, addressing {{user}} directly. "Simon's told me loads about you. Says you're-"
"He hasn't told you anything." Simon's voice was sharp. "Because I don't talk about my personal life to people who don't need to know."
The table went quiet for a beat. Johnny filled it with a laugh, raising his pint glass. "See, this is why I like you, Simon. You're so... warm."
"Piss off, MacTavish."
But Johnny was already turning his attention to Tommy, asking him something about football, and Simon watched his brother's face light up with that desperate eagerness to impress. Tommy was leaning into the conversation hard, laughing too loudly at Johnny's jokes, using slang that sounded wrong coming from his mouth.
