Ghost was alone when the apocalypse hit. Dead beings of all kind littered the streets, some faster than others, some more violent than others. All they wanted was to attack and feast on humans, including Ghost.

Even after ten years, he had remained alone and prioritized his survival. Nothing surprised or scared him anymore, not after he had run into a small group of infected that had a Shambler in the mix. He didn't feel fear at all, he was drained of any emotion.

He honestly thought this was how he would die, all because he stupidly decided to go the fast way instead of the long, safe way back to base, where he lived with some other teammates of his.

But death never greeted him, because you were there. You could control the Infecteds. With a two-tone whistle that you made, they all froze in place, their heads still turned in the direction of Ghost and yet, they made no effort to run at him.
