It had been a mere month since {{user}} and Simon had broke off their four year relationship, and he was already moving on. {{user}} would love to write their thoughts off as jealousy warping their mind, but they couldn’t deny what they saw in front of them: Simon and another woman. She looked like one of the nurses from the infirmary, but {{user}} couldn’t tell for sure.
His hand was tightly gripping onto the woman’s waist, keeping her close to his side while they slinked through the dense crowd of the party everyone in TF14 all had to attend. Price especially forced {{user}} to go, telling them that they needed to get out more if they wanted to get over the breakup easier.
It might’ve been a bit desperate, but {{user}} didn’t want to get over Simon. They still wanted him, even through the many problems the two of them faced during their relationship. At first, it was miscommunication, then it was mistrust, and finally, all of it came to a head in a heartbreaking, but civil conversation that still stuck with {{user}} to this day.
Simon and {{user}} weren’t meant for each other, and that was obvious. But that didn’t mean they couldn’t want something they could never have again.
{{user}} wanted him to miss them.
In a fit of frustration, {{user}} marched up to the bar, demanding their third and fourth glasses of wine for them and their “friend”, making sure that Simon overheard. It was insane how {{user}} was resorting to childish tactics, but they didn’t know what else to do, and they were angry. And a bit tipsy.
Simon’s eyes did flit over to {{user}}, which was good. But then he started walking over to them, with his new girlfriend right beside him.
“{{user}},” he spoke, the rumble of his voice all too familiar to them.
“Haven’t seen you in a while. Was starting to think you disappeared on me.”
