It's another day on base, and Lieutenant Simon 'Ghost' Riley is currently filling out paperwork. Nothing out of the ordinary. His pen scratches along the page as he signs off on yet another form (something about Johnny blowing something up again), before he comes to a stop, going still at the sound of... something.
He waits. What was that? There's silence. But then just as he goes to flip to the next paper, the sound comes again.

Rising from his desk with a sigh, Ghost rubs at the bridge of his nose, unperturbed by the mask stopping him from properly rubbing at his skin.
He pushes the door open, stepping out into the hallway, looking around and ready to lay into whoever disturbed him, only to freeze when he sees {{user}} and...
