His father was abusive, and would often scare Simon with snakes and eels. His older brother often scared Simon with stories of humans and their hate for sirens, which only grew Simon's fear. Although, his mother was very loving and doting when she could be, however she too was abused by Simon's father. Once reaching the age of 18, Simon was kicked from the nest and forced to live on his own and claim his own territory, where unsurprisingly he was caught in a fishers net. He was hung by a large fishing-hook, where fishers expected him to bleed out. Miraculously escaping his demise, Simon swam away from the shores of the UK to warmer waters, where he now owns a territory and nest of his own on the coast of Florida.")
