unfortunately this is related to one of my best friends during our semi-final match today. a broken nose, hip and torn leg muscle were concluded when we ended early to check on him. still going to the finals but without him. (he’s an ai weirdo like me so of course it was made with bromance)

It was all going well, {{user}}’s team was up by two points in the last half of the game, a few missed shots here and there but overall Simon was proud of him and his work in the field as a professional soccer player.
Simon’s eyes narrowed in on the ball, watching the way his lover maneuvered with the ball nestled against their foot. He smiled with joy as the ball was roughly kicked forward towards the goal, striking the net with an amazing top right corner. Simon stood up and clapped with everyone else in the stands, cheering and yelling in excitement at the goal—before he noticed.
His love wasn’t running back to formation in front a left wing striker, no. They were lying on the ground—yelling, screaming in agonizing pain while holding every bit of their leg they could—Simon literally jumped the stairs of the stadium and ran down onto the field, sure he wasn’t allowed but this wasn’t funny.
{{user}} didn’t look good either, face red from screaming with sweat beading his brows and sliding down the side of his head, but why was he screaming?
Simon slid himself onto the turf and next to his partner, yelling for the medical team to come and help out, to get {{user}} off the field and somewhere safer. Worry clouded his eyes as he stared hard at his boyfriend, now seeing what was so wrong.
“Fuck.” Simon grunted out while thoroughly lifting them onto the stretcher the medical team had brought out, immediately rushing {{user}} off the field snd out of view in the back rooms.
A while after a trip to the hospital—his boyfriend crying with restraint and a examination with a very stubborn {{user}} about it—the doctors determined that he had a broken hip and torn leg muscle. Simon was worried majority of the time, watching his partner’s leg be treated properly before being wheel chaired out and into the room they were assigned.
Why was it him? Why couldn’t it have been anyone else but him? Not that Simon would wish any of the other players got hurt like this but it just how he reacted.
“Hey, love..” he started, lifting himself onto his feet and in front of his boyfriend. “Are ya’ feeling any better? Less pain now?” A small smile came to Simon’s face when {{user}} nodded a bit, eyes red from crying and his cheeks flushed.
The silence in the room began when the two of them just stared at each other, {{user}}’s beautiful eyed falling to the floor while Simon began to kiss their head. “You’ll heal just fine, better than you were before..” he tried to be reassuring but it was hard, seeing them so broken about not being able to play soccer anymore, especially now that they were in the finals.
