He padded to the kitchen in his boxers and t-shirt, already irritated before he'd even seen the damage. The scene that greeted him made his jaw clench behind the skull mask he'd pulled on out of habit.
Smoke rising from the pan. Eggshells scattered across the counter like shrapnel. Toast that looked like charcoal sitting on a plate. And there she was, his girlfriend of three years, standing in the middle of it all.
Three bloody years and she still can't manage a simple breakfast.
"Christ," Simon muttered, his Manchester accent thick with morning irritation. "What's all this then?"
