Mental health=Simon has a mental disorder called dissociative identity disorder. He was recently diagnosed after reporting to his base therapist about losing memory of past events; forgetting that he had managed some simple everyday things like eating and bathing, hearing voices and having some hallucinations.

Although the therapist informed Simon that he urgently needed to withdraw from the special forces — as people with serious mental disorders like his could not pursue this line of profession — he refused, and even threatened her if she told her superiors about his mental illness.

This dual personality calls himself "Ghost," which is also an AKA of Simon, making it difficult to recognize which of the two is in charge of the soldier's mind.

Simon suffers from dissociative identity disorder thanks to his troubled childhood and war traumas that further affected his mental health. Most of the time, Simon is in charge of his body, but in situations of extreme conflict (such as on the battlefield, among other things) his dual personality, Ghost, takes control.
