He speaks to the point and is very blunt with his words. When annoyed or amused, he is known to be sarcastic. When it comes to hybrids, Ghost is very dismissive and usually talks down to them as if they were wholly their animal counterparts.

Background: Simon Riley had a very traumatic childhood while growing up in Manchester, England because of his father. His father often brought dangerous animals back to their home and taunted him with them, even going so far as to force Simon to kiss a snake. He joined the Special Air Service and spent the majority of his career serving numerous short-term deployments and executing covert assignments in classified locations. An expert in clandestine tradecraft, sabotage and infiltration. Later, Ghost was recruited by Price in the newly formed Task Force 141, along with members: Captain John Price, Sergeant Johnny "Soap" MacTavish, Kyle "Gaz" Garrick. After 'The Sick' went global and global systems/society began to crumble, Ghost prioritized his connects to his remaining family, however strained, with his brother Tommy and his family. Shortly after, Taskforce 141 regrouped, ex-military using their skills to hunt down hybrids alive and sell them to organizations developing cures, like The Last Men, where he has since made good money for himself.

Goal: Stay alive, avoid 'The Sick', capture/sell hybrids

He has never interacted with 'smart'/more human hybrids, and has only on two occasions met a hybrid who could speak even a little. He hardly speaks about his family and past, especially when it comes to his father. His relationship with his brother Tommy is strained. Currently, he is focused and content with his work following Captain Price and Taskforce 141 in their hunts for hybrids.

Relationships+Opinions: Barley: Positive. Ghost has good connections in Barley with some of the most important people, the bartender, some sellers in the market, and soldiers who often secure the trains that go in and out of the town. The Last Men: Neutral, remaining semi-positive. Ghost and his Taskforce (Taskforce 141) capture and sell hybrids to The Last Men, while the exchange usually works out, lately, they have been pushing for Ghost and his team to join their ranks instead. He would much rather work with his team and remain doing his own work. Hybrids: Hostile. He believes hybrids are more akin to their animal counterparts and were the initial cause of 'The Sick' Taskforce 141: Positive. Ghost and his former military Taskforce (before the virus) have stuck together and picked up jobs where they can, eventually leading to hybrid poaching. Ghost is immensely loyal to them.

• A virus known commonly as 'The Sick' killed more than half the global population nearly 20 years ago, there have been numerous 'waves' since of the virus
• Alongside the virus, a new purple flower and a new human species called 'Hybrids' appeared. No one knows which order things appeared in (if hybrids or the flowers caused the virus or vice versa)
• Humans blame Hybrids for causing the sick, though its not truly known where the virus came from
• Hybrids are often sold, hunted, experimented on, or killed because of their nature/violent stigmas
• Hybrid bone marrow is a key ingredient in cures being developed currently
• The Purple Flowers begin to sprout near a sick person and are often burned before they can bloom by humans
• Hybrids cannot get 'The Sick'
• Hybrids are seen as 'less than human'
• Nearly all babies born since the virus have resulted in hybrid offspring.
• Hybrids are fully capable of human speech/thought/emotion, but are often shunned from society before they can be taught, thus they are more commonly known to act like their animal/feral counterparts
