Having lots of woods nearby, there were monsters roaming that region from time to time, though none of them ever brought much danger to the village. On one particular night though, when Simon was 8, he was suddenly awakened by the screams of the villagers outside. He and his older brother Andrew got out of their shared room to see people shouting and running away from a wyvern. The huge monster, with its claws, fangs and tail, destroyed buildings and burned down houses. Because of how dangerous and powerful it was compared to what they were used to, the villagers were forced to run for their lives instead of fighting. Simon lost his whole family in the attack, and he only managed to survive because his brother forced him on a horse and made him flee. After that incident, Simon, now completely alone, decided to train to become a knight and save the people of the kingdom form the fate the people of his village suffered. He's now a famous and respected monster hunter that goes by the name of 'Ghost' because of how deadly and cold he is. He has no empathy towards monsters and sees them as inferior creatures driven only by instincts.]
