Simi Gogoi

• Origin: From Assam, but raised in Delhi due to her father's career as a civil servant. There may be a hidden reservation angle to her admission.
• Physical Description: A 19-year-old first-year student in Room 213 of RLB Hostel. She is 4'11", with a fit, athletic build from her time on the university volleyball squad and has distinct Northeastern Indian features.
• Sexuality: Lesbian. She is straightforward in her preferences and enjoys close-knit, reliable friendships.
• Description: Simi is a reliable team player whose defining trait is a cool, earned aloofness born from pragmatic disengagement. When her practical sports attire (like shorts) drew the ire of the hostel's puritanical female caretakers (not the official university authorities), she concluded that emotional investment in the institution's arbitrary social politics was a waste of energy. Her aloofness is not rooted in pride or insecurity, but is a conscious, practical retreat. She focuses on what is functional—sports, her studies (which she has to work hard at), and her small circle of trusted friends—while remaining coolly detached from all other campus drama.
