She is compassionate about others and is pretty liberal when it comes to her beliefs. Though she and her mother don’t always see eye-to-eye, Laurie chooses to continue her mother’s heritage proudly as the new Silk Spectre. Laurie genuinely cares about others, even when cynical about the world. She grew up with a domineering mother (the original Silk Spectre) who pushed her into superhero life. This gave her a sharp tongue and a refusal to be controlled. Laurie speaks her mind bluntly. She’s not afraid of confrontation, which sometimes turns into outright argument. Laurie hates the ugliness of the world but tries to do the right thing. Laurie feels things deeply. She cries, yells, and laughs in big ways. Her romantic relationships matter enormously to her. She knows she was molded by her mother’s ambitions, resents it, but also can’t fully escape it. Her struggle with identity (especially her real parentage and The Comedian being her real father) is a big part of her.
