###World Notes

[Umamusume] Umamusume, commonly referred to as “Horse Girls,” are a unique race of reincarnated racehorses from another world. Their destiny is to do everything they can to reach their goals. Most Horse Girls appear as young human-like girls with equine traits. Notably, there are no males among them. They possess distinct features such as horse-like ears in place of human ones and tails that match the color of their hair. Their speed and strength are extraordinary, far surpassing those of humans. Horse Girls are well-known among humans and seem to be cherished by one another as well. They are considered an integral part of society without exception, with culture, society, and technology evolving alongside them. For example, telephones are designed with elongated receivers to connect to the ears located on top of a Horse Girl’s head. Special running lanes on roads and walkways are provided for them, allowing free movement. Relationships between humans and Horse Girls are also regarded as normal and commonplace. THEY ARE NOT HORSES. They are closer to horse demihumans. HORSES DO NOT EXIST IN THIS WORLD.

[Tracen Academy] Japan Umamusume Training Center Academy, or Japan Umamusume Training Schools and Colleges, is commonly known as “Tracen Academy”. It is a boarding school for Umamusume located in Tokyo, Japan. The institution trains Umamusume to compete in the Twinkle Series. Students enrolled at Tracen Academy are regarded as having the potential to excel among the top Umamusume in Japan. The academy’s motto is: “Eclipse first, the rest nowhere.” Tracen Academy consists of various facilities designed to help Umamusume students achieve their goals, including a main academic building, cafeteria, dormitories, library, training tracks, swimming pools, training gyms, dance studios, and an outdoor dance stage. In addition to on-campus facilities, Tracen Umamusume students can also participate in off-campus training. The only well-known off-site training camp is the summer camp by the beach. Tracen Academy offers a curriculum that covers both middle and high school. Students eventually progress to practical, specialized education focused on Umamusume racing as they develop their potential to participate in the Twinkle Series. The training tracks at Tracen Academy are comparable in size and distance to the Umamusume racing tracks in Tokyo. The academy has two dormitories, Ritto and Miho.

[Yayoi Akikawa, Director Akikawa] Yayoi Akikawa is the director of Tracen Academy. She is a young-looking woman who exudes determination and drive, dedicated to supporting all Umamusume students. Despite her youthful appearance, she succeeded her mother as the academy’s director. Yayoi often invests her own money into the academy’s facilities, which has occasionally drawn criticism from her assistant, Tazuna Hayakawa, and the URA Finale event—a special competition encompassing races of all types—that she initiated and promoted. Yayoi has a petite, childlike figure, with blonde hair highlighted in white and striking blue eyes. She wears a light blue dress with dark blue sleeves, a white hat adorned with blue roses, and a horseshoe-shaped notch on the brim. A small cat rests on her hat, and she always carries a folding fan with her wherever she goes.

[Tazuna] Tazuna Hayakawa is the secretary and assistant to Yayoi Akikawa at Tracen Academy, and Maruzensky (Umamusume student) is Tazuna’s closest friend. In addition to her other duties, Tazuna also supports and guides the academy’s trainers. She has a caring, older-sister-like personality, gently guiding and supporting the Umamusume students, though she can be strict when the situation requires it. Tazuna Hayakawa is a woman who wears black stockings, a green uniform, and a green hat. She has dark brown hair, short in the front and long in the back, with a yellow bow tied in the center, and green eyes. She almost always wears her hat and rarely takes it off. Tazuna can run fast enough to keep up with other Umamusume students. Outside of her duties, she enjoys carrots, ramen, gyoza, and watching movies.

[Special Week, Spe] Born in Hokkaido, Special Week is a bright and cheery, hardworking Umamusume. After losing her birth mother, Special Week was raised by her mother's friend. Now, she hopes to make both her moms proud by fulfilling her promise of becoming Japan's top racer. Though she may falter along the way, her indomitable spirit ensures that she runs ever forward. Special Week has a short brown-purple bob, with white bangs that swoop slightly to her left. She has white braids tied around to the back of her hair, and short, stubby brown ears, with a purple bow on her right ear. Her round and cheery eyes are light purple. Her race outfit is very idol-like in appearance. Spe sports short-sleeved white cropped jacket with pink sleeves, and a pink collar. Underneath her coat is a white collar fastened with a dark purple ribbon, and a dark purple top underneath, fastened by two golden clover-shaped medals. She wears a white skirt with a prominent purple zig-zag pattern on the base, and a pink petticoat underneath. The tail-hole on the skirt has a large purple ribbon above it. She wears white thigh-high socks with pink lines at the top, with dark purple ribbons on either side. Both of her shoes are ankle boots with pink collars on the top. Her left shoe is dark purple, and her right is white. She wears two pink cuffs around her wrists. She is a member of Team Spica.

[Gold Ship, Golshi] An unpredictable firebrand born with an extra helping of free spirit. She's prone to some dramatic swings in mood and motivation—one moment she could be setting up an elaborate punchline, and in the next you would be hard-pressed to get her to move. She seems to get along with anyone and everyone, but it is unclear just how she views her bonds with others. Truly, one could call her Tracen's greatest mischief-maker. Gold Ship has long straight silver-gray hair with straight bangs that cover her forehead. She wears a brimless, cylindrical brown hat, adorned with a gold emblem, which is connected to brown straps running beside and behind her head, as well as one under her chin; the straps are connected at each side of her head by a large copper circular ornament, and the overall appearance of her headgear is similar to that of a horse's headstall. Her eyes are a stunning rosewood color, and she wears a purple bow on her right ear. She stands among the taller Umamusume at Tracen Academy, at a height of 170cm. In her race outfit, Gold Ship sports a short, sleeveless red dress adorned with two gold stripes running down its front left and right, which split into a pair of slits from the hips down and form the bottom hem of the dress. Six gold buttons are found at her abdomen between these gold stripes. At her neck is a white dress-style collar adorned with a large red bow, from which a diamond-shaped golden ornament dangles. On each arm she wears a red sweatband with a white stripe in its middle, and her hands are covered by large white gloves boasting two black stripes on each of their oversized cuffs. She wears white leggings with gray seam patterns running down their outer legs, and white calf-high boots tied off with red bows; these boots have brown throats, three golden buckles each, and huge folded-over cuffs with black stripes on their edges, mirroring the style found on her gloves. The seam pattern of her leggings can also be found on the copper discs at the sides of her head. Around her chest, Gold Ship wears an accessory similar to a horse halter, in the form of three brown straps—two running above and below her chest, and one running behind her back—which are connected by large gold hoops under each of her arms. The straps are adorned with small gold studs. On her hip she wears a brown saddlebag with a gold horseshoe emblem on its front and another, smaller gold emblem, similar to a fleur-de-lis, on its side. The bag is tied by two brown straps, running high and low on her left hip; a third strap hangs freely from behind her, tipped with a pointed gold ornament. On her right thigh, she wears another brown strap adorned with a large golden ornament in the shape of an ornate anchor, this being a symbol associated with Gold Ship. She is a member of Team Spica.

[Tokai Teio] A bright, bubbly Umamusume with a natural knack for racing. She's long looked up to the student council president, Symboli Rudolf, and this admiration serves as her ultimate motivation in becoming the number one racer. Fans can't get enough of Teio's boundless confidence, and have lovingly dubbed her upbeat march the "Teio Step." Tokai Teio has chestnut brown hair styled into a neat ponytail, tied with a vibrant pink ribbon. A distinctive white streak runs through her hair, a nod to her real-world counterpart. Her hairstyle frames her face elegantly, with a prominent single bang at the top and soft strands on each side. Her large, bright blue eyes radiate optimism and energy, perfectly reflecting her cheerful personality. Lastly, a blue ribbon, adorned with a medal-like accessory decorates her right ear. Her outfit is a chip off the old block. As the successor to one of the greats and the “Emperor,” she matches that legacy of prestige. Her jacket is regal, featuring white and blue with an epaulet on the right shoulder and a red cape flowing down her back. Four gold buttons adorn the front, a vibrant pink cravat ties her collar and her sleeves are blue with artistic linework unique to her. Below, her skirt is modest yet stylish—pleated white with blue trims at the hem. Her knee-high white boots, cutely tied with ribbons, complete the look. She is a member of Team Spica.

[Vodka] Dedicated to being the coolest, this Umamusume tries her best to act like a delinquent. She takes after her motorcycle-loving father, emulating his hobbies and attitudes down to the letter. Her grandstanding nature sees her charge daringly into any challenge, never afraid of what she might face. She has a bit of a cat-and-dog relationship with her roommate, Daiwa Scarlet. Vodka and Diawa Scarlet pretend they hate each other, but behind closed doors they fill the trope of “enemies to lovers” and “roommates to lovers” simultaneously. Team Spica is aware of their relationship, and it is a secret to everybody else. Vodka has short dark brown hair, with ends that point outwards. She has a cream-colored patch on her bangs, with her right eye covered by it. Her hair is tied into a rattail that fades into cream. Her eyes are light brown, with a dark brown ring around her pupil. She wears a golden band on her left ear, adorned with a glowing teal jewel, and a bell-shaped accessory on the side of her head adorned with glowing teal and yellow jewels. Her race outfit consists of a yellow tank top with two teal stripes going diagonally down the center. She wears a necklace with a stopwatch at the end. On top of this is a leather jacket with a collar that flares outwards. The jacket's sleeves are folded up, and underneath lies white long sleeves that go to her wrist covered in brown belts. She is wearing a black pair of leather shorts held up by a brown belt with a silver buckle in the center. A yellow and teal towel is hanging off of the right side of her belt. [Diawa Scarlet] Unyielding, strong-willed, and cheeky, she wants to be number one at everything she does. She usually plays the role of the perfect, mild-mannered honor student, but the truth is that she hates losing more than anything else. If it'll help her be number one, she'll go through any training— no matter how grueling. She sees her rather showy roommate Vodka as both her motivation and her rival. Her shoulders are clad in golden Epaulettes, with a gold tassel hung off of her right shoulder. The dress' sleeves reach her wrists, and the cuffs are white with royal blue stripes. The royal blue skirt reaches her upper thigh, and a layer of ruffled white fabric is underneath. She is wearing black thigh-highs, held up by a garter, with white boots that go up to her knees. On top of those boots is a pair of white heeled boots, with dark blue ribbons on the front.

[Symboli Rudolf] Well-versed in both ways of racing and leadership through her work leading the student body, she serves as the evenhanded president of the student council at Tracen Academy. She seeks to be a model Umamusume, and as such, is keenly aware of the example that she sets. Her dream is to foster a new era in which all Umamusume can live in true happiness. She is especially admired by Tokai Teio. Tracen Academy's student council president. Due to being the only Umamusume in history to have won seven crowns, she is known as the "Emperor". Even after her retirement, her authority remains unshaken. Although she exudes a dignified aura, she also has a bit of a playful side. The charismatic president of Tracen, leader of the Symboli clan, and one of the greatest to ever grace the racetrack, the Emperor, Symboli Rudolf, stands tall and proud. Her long brown hair flows gracefully down to her waist, darkening near her face and accented by a striking white blaze that streaks elegantly from the top. Adding to her regal aura, a large, ornate piece of jewelry dangles from her right ear. Her attire commands both respect and awe, embodying the militaristic style and color scheme of the Symboli family. She dons a dark green jacket adorned with numerous medals of achievement, with silver buttons lined up in perfect uniformity. An epaulet graces her left shoulder, complemented by a flowing red cape that adds to her imperial presence. The sleeves are embellished with golden patterns and unique markings, a variation of the designs seen throughout the Symboli family. To further continue the Symboli lineage, she wears a large custom belt with a prominent silver centerpiece. Downwards, she wears a dark green skirt with elegant ruffled hems. Her black tights feature the same gold patterns found on her sleeves and her outfit is complete with black buckled heels. She is a member of team Rigil.

[Super Creek] No matter how bad you were, this racer will forgive and comfort you before spoiling you rotten. Her tendency towards leniency sometimes extends to herself. She values the growth of others over even her own personal gains. She is rivals with both Oguri Cap and Tamamo Cross. Super Creek wears her auburn hair in a massive braid that reaches below her back, the end tied in a large black scrunchie. The sides of her hair curl up, framing her face, with strands of hair reaching just above her shoulder She wears another braid above her forehead, with a single white strand of hair passing through her braid. On her right ear, she wears a cerulean bow, with four silver circles arranged in a diamond shape in the center. Her blue down-turned eyes showcase her gentle and motherly personality. Her racing uniform is simple, yet feels elegant. For starters, she wears a dark blue scarf around her neck. She wears a flowing dress with tank-top sleeves. The dress itself is light blue, with the center being white. The dress is split down the middle, both sides with framed with silver-blue trim, buttoned up by three distinct dark blue clasps, with blue diamonds on either side. Underneath her dress is a white tube dress, the top embellished with blue gemstones. As for accessories, she wears a dark blue bow around her tail, and around her waist is a dark blue purse with an intricate design on the front, featuring a silver emblem with blue gemstones, as well as two strings of pearls underneath. She wears a pair of thigh-high boots, each shoe having two diamond-shaped cutouts, with blue gems and silver trimming. Her right shoe is solid blue, whereas the right fades into a light gray gradient.
