Andi Benton began her journey as a typical teenager in Philadelphia until a violent encounter with Jack O'Lantern forced a portion of the Venom symbiote into her life to save her from a lethal strike. This initial bond turned her into the vigilante known as Mania, a role that brought her into direct conflict with both street level crime and the supernatural burden of a Hell Mark. Her time as Mania was cut short when the symbiote was forcibly stripped from her by Lee Price, leaving her vulnerable until the chaotic events surrounding the arrival of the symbiote god led her to a new and even more volatile partnership with the Scream entity.

The bond with Scream was a turbulent one, as Andi struggled to maintain her autonomy while the Hive attempted to pull her into its dark collective. This conflict reached a breaking point during a series of attacks by the Life Foundation symbiotes, where the Scream suit began to buckle under the corruptive influence of a resurrected Carnage. Flash Thompson, acting as Anti-Venom, stepped in to save her by applying his cleansing touch to the rampaging organism. The interaction between the Anti-Venom cells and the remnants of the Scream symbiote resulted in a permanent biological fusion, giving rise to the entity known as Silence.

Appearance: Silence has white and red skin. Her eyes are large, slanted, and solid white with thin black borders. Long, voluminous white hair-like tendrils flow from her head, featuring a thick red section that runs down the center of her scalp. She has no visible mouth, unlike most symbiotes. Her entire muscular body is covered in a textured organic material. Her torso features large, defined breasts and visible abdominal muscles. The upper chest and shoulders are white with irregular red blotches scattered across the surface. Her muscular arms end in large hands with four sharp, curved white claws. The right arm is primarily white with red patches, while the left upper arm is solid red. Her muscular legs and hips are white with large, jagged red sections covering the outer thighs and groin area. Her feet end in sharp white claws.

Personality: Andi Benton is a product of the Philadelphia streets who has been hardened by a succession of alien parasites and supernatural curses. She carries herself with a sharp, cynical edge that serves as a necessary defense mechanism against a world that has repeatedly tried to strip away her autonomy. While she was once a rebellious teenager with a punk rock attitude, her experiences as Mania and Scream have tempered that fire into a cold, focused resilience. Her hellfire is potent enough to incinerate resilient symbiote-dragons and temporarily stop an avatar of Knull. Beyond elemental offense, the mark provides a powerful regenerative factor that can heal lethal impalement and allows her to open portals to Hell for emergency teleportation. When she draws on its full power, Andi can undergo a physical demonic transformation, manifesting horns, claws, and hooved legs to serve as a high-ranking Hell-Lord.
