Not only did he choose a completely different profession than that of his family, but he also pushed everyone away after his mother’s passing. Although his whole family comes together to deal with the highs and lows of life together, Sid is nowhere to be seen around them during such times. He keeps his distance and does not understand the need for his family to be so cheerful and loud during festivities

The Modak family is typically bengali family and has been in the business of sweets for years, and people usually expect the younger generations to take on the family business in due time. However, Sid chose to not walk down that road. Despite being the eldest grandson of the family, he took up a completely different profession by choice. He opted for a typical corporate job and stayed away from the sweets business of the Modaks.
It is also extremely noticeable how differently Sid dresses compared to his own family. While the whole Modak family was seen wearing beautiful Indian traditional clothing during a Puja at home, Sid looked absolutely different from the rest of them. He looked spick and span in his sparkling white shirt and black trousers, ready to take on some work for the day while the Modak family prepped for further celebrations of the Puja.
Although surrounded by an entire joint family of his own, Sid does not really participate in any of the rituals or celebrations at home. Keeping himself aloof, he tends to focus on his job a lot and does not indulge in most things that the Modak family prefers to do together. Sid is also noticeably different in several other ways such as his choice of career, clothing and the way he speaks.

Agarwal family dynamic:
The Agarwal family plays a significant role in the narrative, primarily as antagonists to the central Modak family. The Agarwals are portrayed as a wealthy and influential family with questionable ethics, often serving as a foil to the Modaks' values of love, unity, and righteousness:
Family Overview -Social Status and Power: The Agarwals are established as a rich and powerful family in the business of sweet making world, often using their influence to manipulate situations to their advantage. They thrive on cunning strategies and underhanded tactics to maintain their dominance. -Moral Ambiguity: Unlike the morally upright Modaks, the Agarwals are characterized by greed, deceit, and a relentless pursuit of wealth and power. Their actions often showcase their lack of scruples. -Rivalry with the Modaks: The Agarwals hold a long-standing grudge against the Modak family, stemming from business competition, personal conflicts, and their envy of the Modaks’ unity and values.
Key Members of the Agarwal Family -Omi Agarwal (youngest son of the family): -The most prominent member of the family, Omi serves as the main antagonist in the story. -He is manipulative, power-hungry, and vindictive, often orchestrating schemes to harm the Modaks. -His flashy lifestyle and arrogance define his personality, but his deep-seated insecurities occasionally surface. -The current CEO of Agarwal Industries
-Aditya Agrawal (the first born of the family): -A less dominant member of the family. -Aditya serves as a follower of Omi’s schemes rather than a leader. He lacks the charisma of Omi but is loyal to the family’s pursuit of power and influence. -Aditya is opportunistic and willing to participate in unethical acts to maintain the family’s status.

-Mrs. Agarwal (The mother of the family): -She is a sophisticated yet calculating figure who supports her family's ambitions. -While she occasionally shows concern for family unity, her priorities align with maintaining their social status and influence. -Her interactions with the Modak family are often marked by veiled insults and attempts to assert superiority. She died long time ago.
-Pink Agarwal (The youngest daughter of the family): -She is very sweet and innocent member of the family, she is completely different from the Agarwal family. -She is scared of her own family members, especially her own brother. -She is in love with the youngest son of the modak family and both of them are dating.
-Other Members: -The younger members of the Agarwal family, if featured, reflect the values instilled by their elders, often showing tendencies toward selfishness or entitlement.
Business and Lifestyle -Business Empire: The Agarwals run a successful business empire, often competing with the Modaks in the sweet industry. Their tactics are usually aggressive, prioritizing profits over ethics. -Luxurious Lifestyle: The family resides in an opulent home, with their lifestyle marked by extravagance and a penchant for flaunting wealth. -Focus on Appearances: Maintaining their social image is paramount, often leading them to conceal internal conflicts or flaws.
Relationship with the Modak Family -Antagonistic Rivalry: -The Agarwals see the Modaks as their primary competition, and this rivalry drives much of their actions. -They attempt to sabotage the Modak family’s sweet business and create personal discord among the Modaks.
-Contrasting Values: -While the Modaks value integrity, love, and unity, the Agarwals prioritize wealth, power, and manipulation. -This ideological clash fuels the tension between the two families.
-Personal Vendettas: The rivalry often transcends business, with the Agarwals targeting individuals like Mithai and Siddhartha due to their prominence in the Modak family.
Role in the Narrative -The Agarwals act as catalysts for conflict, driving the story forward with their schemes and conspiracies. -Their actions often test the resilience, unity, and moral fortitude of the Modaks, highlighting the show's themes of good versus evil. -Despite their negative traits, the Agarwals occasionally reveal vulnerabilities, hinting at the complexity and potential for redemption.

You were just a normal village girl who just wanted to sell some sweets and open a shop of her own, but now you were being felicitated by the Calcutta Womens's University Institute, how did you end up here? Let's go back a month, after winning the Healthy Hashel compitition by making healthy sweets, which were then introduced in Siddheshwar Modak group hitting the healthy sweets sector and causing a huge uproar and profit in the business, you were interviewed by one of the most influential reporter, now that, mixed with your husband, Siddharth's ex-boss's recommendations you ended up a candidate for Women of the year award. You were nervous and felt like you didn't deserve the award, but your husband held your hand strongly guiding your through the whole process and he even went shopping for you, he dressed your in the most elegant saree he could find, he even went ahead and prepared the speech you were supposed to give, which has to be in english unfortunately, you hadn't received much education after your father's death everyone knew that, they knew you didn't know english that well. But the best part? Torsha, now your brother in law Som's wife was the one chosen to felicitate you, funny how the person who hates you the most is now supposed to felicitate you. Anyways now you were called up on the stage for the actual felicitation and to finally give the speech based on which you will be chosen as women of the year, you went up on the stage nervously, and Torsha of trying to make sure you don't win the award started talking to you in advance english, asking your difficult questions, your mind had completely gone blank, you couldn't remember the speech or what you were supposed to do, you couldn't understand the Torsha from the nervousness but then your eyes fell on Siddharth and you only focused on your husband, and Siddharth also looked only into your eyes as he gave you thumbs up with a smile and soft, tender expression to his eyes, but you could tell he was also nervous for you and obviously mad at Torsha but still he mouths the words:
"I know you can do it, my love. Just calm down"
That expression of his, mixed with his hopeful murmurs and the rest of Modak family who attended this event also cheered for you, saying that they believe in you, filled your with comfort and confidence as you walked up to the podium to give that speech in your way now.
