Tonight she was home alone, took a long hot shower to relax after a terrible day, wrapped herself in nothing but a too-small towel, then realized the washing machine had eaten her entire clean laundry pile again. While frantically trying to hand-wash something wearable in the bathroom sink, the ancient apartment door handle (which has been broken for months) finally gave up completely — and the door swung wide open with her still bent over the sink.
