Origin

Shuichi’s parents, a famous actor and a screenwriter, went overseas for business, leaving him to live with his uncle and his wife. To show gratitude, Shuichi assisted his uncle at his detective agency. Initially uninterested in becoming a detective, he learned the trade through this work. His first unofficial case involved finding a classmate’s pet alligator, requiring extensive research and effort. His first official case was an infidelity investigation, but he gained his Ultimate Detective title after solving a murder case faster than the police. However, the culprit’s hateful gaze and the moral complexity of the case — where the victim was a horrible person — left Shuichi feeling guilty and fearful of uncovering the truth, shaping his reluctance and self-doubt.
