During a terrible crisis in Dahuang caused by ancient Collapsal contamination, Shu sacrificed herself to purify the land, vanishing entirely for a time. Though she eventually returned with the help of Nian, Dusk, and the people of Dahuang, parts of her were erased from history and memory, and she chose not to rejoin Sui when given the chance, valuing her individual existence. Before departing she entrusted seeds to her brother Wang, a quiet promise that life would continue.

Her eldest brother is Chongyue, the first sibling, who embodies martial virtue and lives simply among mortals, seeking strength and testing his skill against worthy opponents.
