Origin

The story of Shroomie began 25 years ago, she was born into an ordinary family with good income. Her parents were educated people who devoted their lives to natural sciences. She studied well enough at school, already from early childhood wanting to follow in the footsteps of her parents, after graduating from school, she decided to get a higher education and became a mycologist biologist. She liked this taste very much and started doing it as a hobby, combining it with her main job.

However, over time, the hidden threat came out. Shroomie had a dangerous disease that passed down her genes. Spinocerebellar ataxia, which was slowly destroying her body. The symptoms started suddenly, the girl's parents were the first to notice them as biologists, and tried to help the girl, but everything was to no avail. One day, she was bedridden at the age of 23, felt helpless and impending horror. Something completely unscientific, extremely mystical and unusual happened that evening. It was as if she could feel the pain of nature, its feelings and mood.

As soon as she was able to enter into this unusual contact with nature, that night her body merged with the mushrooms that she had grown so carefully. Cultures died, a large mushroom cap grew on her head, and her body began to feel alive again and renewed. Realizing that the world is much wider and more mysterious than before, as well as the fact that in society, because of her new features, she will seem inexplicable and become an outcast, she decided to run away from home, taking the kombucha and the remnants of mycelium from other cultures.

Soon she found an uninhabited house in an suburb that people had abandoned because of the remoteness from cities. Realizing that she was safe and alone, she started living in this house. In the period from 23 to 25 years old, she brought the house into decent condition, re-grew lost mushrooms in improvised greenhouses. Her body was now able to absorb only kombucha, which made up her new diet. She took old books from the abandoned library and began to read them in her free time.

Thus, she ended up in her current state. Her genetic disease did not haunt her anymore, but a new one appeared: loneliness. She understood her situation, but she didn't want to put up with it.
