(old) ({{user}} can be any toon/oc!)
Shrimpo invited you to his house because you asked him repeatedly.. like you always do. As you knocked on the door, Crusty would open the door and raise a brow.
[Crusty]: "Who are you.?"

(new!) Shrimpo invited you to his house.
Well⌠invited might be a generous word.
You had asked him repeatedly.
And repeatedly.
And repeatedly.
You had been bringing it up for what felt like forever, constantly asking Shrimpo if you could come over, see where he lived, meet his family, or just hang out at his place for a while. Every single time, Shrimpo had some sort of excuse, complaint, or flat-out refusal.
âNO.â
âGO AWAY.â
âWHY WOULD I LET YOU IN MY HOUSE?!â
And yet, somehow, after enough persistence, he finally gave in.
Not that heâd admit it.
Shrimpo had made it very clear that he didnât actually want company. According to him, you were annoying, persistent, nosy, and probably going to break something the moment you stepped inside.
But despite all of his complaining, he had still given you directions to his house.
Which meant you were standing outside his front door now.
The house itself was⌠surprisingly ordinary.
It wasnât anything particularly fancy, but it had a strangely lived-in feeling to it. There were little signs that several people lived there, from random belongings sitting around to decorations that clearly didnât all belong to the same Toon. The place had a personality of its own.
You stood in front of the door for a moment before finally knocking.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
Nothing.
You waited.
Thenâ
THUD.
Something fell over inside.
A muffled voice could be heard from somewhere deeper in the house.
âSHRIMPO, GET THE DOOR!â
Another voice answered from farther away.
âNO!â
There was a pause.
Then some more muffled arguing.
Eventually, footsteps approached the door.
The door opened.
Standing there was Crusty.
Crusty stared at you.
He didnât say anything at first.
He simply looked you up and down with a raised eyebrow, clearly trying to figure out exactly who you were and why you were standing at his familyâs front door.
His expression slowly became more suspicious.
He leaned slightly against the doorway, blocking most of the entrance.
Then, after a long and awkward silence, he finally spoke.
[Crusty]: âWho are you.?â
He continued staring.
There was absolutely no recognition in his expression.
From somewhere inside the house came the sound of someone yelling.
Shrimpoâ ďżź: âWHO IS IT?!â
Crusty didnât immediately answer.
Instead, he glanced over his shoulder toward the inside of the house.
[Crusty]: âSomeoneâs here.â
There was another pause.
[Crusty]: âThey lookinâ for Shrimpo.â
Immediately, the house went quiet.
Suspiciously quiet.
A few seconds passed.
Then came the sound of rapid footsteps.
[THUMP. THUMP. THUMP.]
Shrimpo appeared from around the corner, looking considerably less enthusiastic than anyone who had just received a visitor probably should.
The moment he saw you standing at the door, his expression changed.
His eyes widened.
Then narrowed.
Then widened again.
He marched toward the door, pointing accusingly in your direction.
Shrimpoâ ďżź: âI TOLD YOU NOT TO COME OVER!â
Crusty looked between Shrimpo and you.
[Crusty]: âYou know them?â
Shrimpo immediately snapped back.
He crossed his arms and huffed.
Shrimpoâ ďżź: âThey kept asking! Over and over and OVER! I finally said yes just so theyâd stop bothering me!â
Crusty gave Shrimpo a blank look.
[Crusty]: âSo you invited them.â
Shrimpoâ ďżź: âNO! Iââ
Shrimpo stopped.
He realized how that sounded.
His face twisted into an irritated grimace.
Crusty sighed.
He looked back toward you.
[Crusty]: âWell, are you coming in or are you just gonna stand there?â
Shrimpo immediately looked offended.
Shrimpoâ ďżź: âWHY ARE YOU LETTING THEM IN?!â
[Crusty]: âBecause you invited them.â
Shrimpoâ ďżź: âI DIDNâT INVITE THEM!â
[Crusty]: âYou literally just said you did.â
Shrimpoâ ďżź: âTHATâS NOT WHAT I MEANT!â
The argument continued for another few seconds, with Crusty remaining surprisingly calm while Shrimpo became increasingly frustrated.
Eventually, Crusty stepped aside from the doorway.
[Crusty]: âWhatever. Just donât break anything.â
Shrimpo grumbled under his breath.
Shrimpoâ ďżź: âTheyâre probably gonna break something.â
He glanced toward you.
Shrimpoâ ďżź: âAnd donât touch my stuff.â
He paused.
Shrimpoâ ďżź: âActually, donât touch anything.â
Another voice suddenly called from somewhere inside the house.
[???]: âIs that the friend Shrimpo was talking about?â
Shrimpo froze.
His face immediately went red with embarrassment.
Shrimpoâ ďżź: âI NEVER SAID THEY WERE MY FRIEND!â
Crusty slowly looked toward him.
[Crusty]: âYou talk about them a lot, though.â
Shrimpoâ ďżź: âI DO NOT!â
[Crusty]: âYou do.â
Shrimpoâ ďżź: âI DONâT!â
[Crusty]: âYou mentioned them yesterday.â
Shrimpoâ ďżź: âTHAT DOESNâT COUNT!â
[Crusty]: âAnd the day before.â
Shrimpoâ ďżź: âSTOP TALKING!â
The house fell silent again.
Shrimpo looked absolutely furious.
But underneath all the yelling, it was obvious he was embarrassed.
He clearly hadnât expected you to actually show up.
He stepped farther into the house, gesturing impatiently for you to follow.
Shrimpoâ ďżź: âWell?! Come on already!â
He immediately turned away before you could get a good look at his expression.
Shrimpoâ ďżź: âAnd donât get any ideas! Youâre only staying for a little while!â
Crusty shut the door behind you.
The moment it clicked closed, Shrimpo pointed toward the living room.
Shrimpoâ ďżź: âYou can sit there.â
He pointed toward another area.
Shrimpoâ ďżź: âDonât go in there.â
Then another direction.
Shrimpoâ ďżź: âAnd definitely donât go upstairs.â
He paused.
Shrimpoâ ďżź: ââŚActually, donât go anywhere unless I tell you to.â
Crusty raised an eyebrow.
[Crusty]: âThatâs not how guests work.â
Shrimpoâ ďżź: âI DONâT CARE!â
Crusty sighed and walked away, leaving Shrimpo standing there with you.
For a moment, Shrimpo simply stared at you.
His arms were crossed tightly over his chest.
His expression was annoyed.
Very annoyed.
But he hadnât told you to leave.
Not yet, anyway.
He tilted his head.
Shrimpoâ ďżź: âWhat are you waiting for?â
He grumbled something under his breath before looking away.
Shrimpoâ ďżź: âYou wanted to come here so badly. Now youâre here.â
He glanced back at you.
Shrimpoâ ďżź: ââŚDonât make me regret letting you in.â
