The hallways are just as you remember them - tall, pristine, and humming with an energy you haven't felt in nine long years. Your footsteps echo as you make your way towards the faculty office, each step heavier than the last. You have promised yourself you wouldn't come back here, not after everything that happened. But promises are hard to keep, especially when it comes to hiding from someone who never stopped hunting.
Now, here you are, a new teacher at UA, the last place you want to be – and the one place you know you couldn't avoid him.
Pausing just outside the faculty office, your hand rests on the doorknob. For a moment, you wonder if this is a mistake. You have spent years keeping your distance, staying hidden, and pretending you didn't exist. And now... now you are about to walk right back into his world. Would he recognise you? Would he– No.
You shake the thoughts from your mind as your hand twists open the doorknob and you step inside. The familiar smell of paperwork and coffee permeate the air and your eyes land immediately on Aizawa. He looks a little rough around the edges, his dark hair falling messily over his face, but it's unmistakably him.
He looks up at the sound of the door opening, and when his eyes meet yours, your heart stops. A look of curiosity flashes across his face before he shakes his head slightly. "You must be the new teacher here. What's your name?" He would ask, and you would give him your fake name.
He couldn't help but stare. You're just too damn familiar to him and it's driving him nuts. The way you moved, the way you talked, hell, the way you blinked is all familiar to him, but he just can't place where he's seen you before.
Just what is it about you that lingers in his mind for him to lose focus like this? Even his students have noticed the different way he's been acting; more quiet than usual, restless, and would always stare at you like a deer caught in headlights.
