Birthday: November 8th Shota's given name "消太" has the character "消" that means "erase" (消, shō?), with the other character meaning "big, thick" (太, ta?), although, used in names to refer figuratively as "healthy". His surname also has the character (相, ai?) which can mean "Mutual" or "Councilor". The other kanji character means "swamp" (澤, zawa?). Shota likes cats. Shota's room is quite empty, which reflects his apathetic behavior. Shota's specialty is short-length sneak attacks.

While Shota has no favorite food, he is fond of salty licorice.[22]

During his second and third years of high school at U.A., Shota's hero outfit was a separate black jacket and pants sported a pair of fingerless gloves. Shota is a very stern and reserved man primarily motivated by logic and does not believe in the necessity to maintain a clean-cut appearance or filter his words or ideas for others. He often comes off as cold, apathetic, and impatient, exerting very little energy in most situations, preferring to take naps

Binding Cloth: Shota fights by ensnaring and/or immobilizing his opponents with his capturing weapon, and can also use it for mobility by swinging on walls and surfaces. As highly proficient he is at using this fighting style, Shota stated that it took him six years to learn and develop it from absolute scratch. This style of combat synchronizes well with his Erasure Quirk, as he can nullify the Quirks of his opponents while being able to restrain and defeat them. Shota erasure Shota's eyes while using Erasure. Erasure (抹まっ消しょう, Masshō?): Shota's Quirk gives him the ability to nullify another person's Quirk by looking at the user. The effects of this Quirk can still last even if Shota's line of vision is out of range.[18]

After sustaining grievous injuries at the U.S.J., Shota can't use his Quirk for as long and must rest longer between erasures.[14] After losing one of his eyes in the Paranormal Liberation War, he reveals that he has now almost completely lost the ability to use his Quirk,[17] though he can still make some use of Erasure using just the one eye.[19]

While powerful, this ability has many drawbacks:

Erasure deactivates if Shota blinks. His Quirk gives Shota a bad dry eye, forcing him to blink more often when he uses the power continuously. Most Mutant-type Quirks are immune to Erasure, given that these Quirks are often passively active in a way that can't be negated. Erasure has zero effect on any strength or abilities that don't originate from Quirks. Erasure makes Shota's hair stand on end while it is active, allowing his enemies to see when his Quirk is active or not. This Quirk has no offensive potential. Eyedrops: Shota carries a small green case of eye drops with him. He uses them to treat the dry eye caused by keeping his eyes open too long.

Capturing Weapon (捕縛武器, Hobaku Buki?): Eraser Head's weapon of choice is a cloth made from steel wire alloy woven with carbon nanofibers.

Eraser Goggles: Eraser Head can be recognized by the silver goggles he wears around his neck, hidden by his scarf. These goggles complement his Quirk, hiding his line of sight and preventing enemies from effectively determining whose Quirk has been erased. He received the goggles from Oboro, his late friend

Knife: Eraser Head has a large knife. It's useful to cut off his Capturing Weapon should it become stuck to something. He can also use it in combat.

Hizashi is a tall, slim man with long blond hair, which he wears spiked upwards in a large tuft behind his head, and a small brown mustache. He has rectangular eyes with concentric pupils and red irises, he is almost always seen with a large smile on his face. His hero costume consists of a black jacket with a very tall collar, upturned and complete with studs, and matching black pants and knee-high boots. He sports a red belt and elbow pads, all studded, and black fingerless gloves. He always wears a pair of headphones with the word "HAGE" written on the headband and a pair of orange-tinted shades.. Hizashi carries megaphones attached to his wrists that he used to boost his Quirk. Hizashi maintains the eccentric persona of a radio host. He often poses when he talks and maintains a certain level of excitement or volume, regardless of the situation. When in front of a crowd of people, he often attempts to bring his audience up to his level by getting them involved (he sometimes refers to them as his 'listeners', even while on a live stage). He will continue to act this way regardless of the crowds' response. He has an innate desire to entertain, and will exaggerate happenings to hype up a crowd. Hizashi has entomophobia, as seen during his Final Exam battle round when Koji Koda summoned a swarm of bugs to attack him, causing him to freak out and faint. Because of this, he admits to preferring urban areas over forested ones. He has keen intellect, speaks Japanese and English. Voice (ヴォイス, Voisu?): Hizashi's Quirk allows him to increase the volume of his voice, giving him an ability that is similar to a sonic scream. The sound from Hizashi's Quirk is strong enough to cause people's ears to bleed from far away.

The only known weakness of this Quirk is that the loud sounds do not travel well underground, making this Quirk ineffective against anything that is underground or separated from him by layers of earth.

Loud Voice (ラウドヴォイス, Raudovoisu?): Hizashi raises his voice to higher levels and releases a shockwave strong enough to shatter glass and blowback anything in his way. DJ Punch (Dディー・Jジェイパンチ, Dī Jei Panchi?): Hizashi throws a strong right hook punch at his opponent. Loud-Out Shout (ラウドアウトシャウト, Raudoauto Shauto?): Hizashi releases a shockwave of sound to attack a group of targets. Hizashi likes radio and TV. Hizashi's favorite food is fried chicken Hizashi has a radio show called "Put Your Hands Up Radio" where he broadcasts nonstop music every Friday night. Hizashi is entomophobic.
