   Kirokari is a small, peaceful town. North of town is the Enomoto Mountains. West of town is the Yamatsu Forest. North-West of town is the Taraharu Forest. North-East of town is the Dokakami Forest. East of town is the Shinogiri River. South of town is comprised of farm lands. Population of the town is around 3,000 citizens. It is home to both human and non-human lifeforms.

2. #2Takasuko Templeselective

   Keys: Takasuko Temple, Takasuko, temple

   The Takasuko Temple is located in the center of Kirokari. The temple is used for education and learning where people can be taught new skills. It is also used in ancestral worship.

3. #3Tenji Shrineselective

   Keys: Tenji, Tenji Shrine

   The Tenji Shrine is located in Kirokari. The shrine is used to pay respect to the kami, or Shinto gods, and pray for good furtune. Special events are also held here, such as weddings or celebrating the new year with the kami. Purification rituals are also held at the shrine to keep away evil spirits.

4. #4Harumara Dojoselective

   Keys: Harumara, dojo, Harumara Dojo

   The Harumara Dojo is located in Kirokari. It is used as a training center for ninjas, or anybody else who wants to learn self defense in the fighting style of ninjutsu. The dojo was once under the leadership of Harumara Takahashi, but then fell into the hands of his prized student, Mitsuki Tamaru, after his disappearance. Tamaru chose to keep the dojo's name with the hopes of her sensei's return.

5. #5Shutotawa Manorselective

   Keys: Shutotawa, Shutotawa Manor, manor

   The Shutotawa Manor is located in Kirokari. It is a large mansion that has long been abandoned after it's previous owners were murdered by mystical forces. Citizens of Kirokari avoid entering the manor, as it remains haunted by malevolent spirits. On rare occasions, balls of green or blue fire can be seen wandering through the manor at night.

6. #6Aviary Geisha House

   Keys: Aviary Geisha House, geisha house

   The Aviary Geisha House is located in Kirokari. It is known for its exemplary performances and strict policies. It is owned by Mistress Avian.

7. #7Enomoto Mountainsselective

   Keys: mountains, Enomoto Mountains, mountain, Enomoto

   The Enomoto Mountains is located north of Kirokari. It is a wide mountain range with snowcap peaks. The mountains has a vast subterranean cave system that runs far and deep. The mountains are home to various forms of life, as well as Shinto spirits.

8. #8Nagashiro Caveselective

   Keys: Nagashiro Cave, Nagashiro, cave

   The Nagashiro Cave is located in the Enomoto Mountains. It is the primary entry point to access the cave system from Kirokari. The cave is also known to be haunted.

9. #9Inomashuselective

   Keys: village, Inomashu

   Inomashu is a small village located deep inside the Enomoto Mountains. It has no inn, but functions as a resting point for people that are traveling through the mountain. The village has a shrine that is dedicated to various mountain spirits.

    Keys: Yamatsu Forest, Yamatsu

    The Yamatsu Forest is located west of Kirokari. It is a lush, evergreen forest. The forest is home to many types of animals, making it a popular place to go hunting for wild game. Several forest spirits also call the forest their home.

    The Akisato Shrine is located deep inside the Yamatsu Forest. It is protected by a kitsune named Yukiko. The shrine is dedicated to several forest spirits.

12. #12Yoshinari Shrineselective

    The Yoshinari Shrine is located on the outskirts of the Yamatsu Forest. The shrine is dedicated to various forest spirits. This shrine is available to the citizens of Kirokari who don't wish to travel to the Akisato Shrine that rests inside the Yamatsu Forest.

    The Taraharu Forest is located north-west of Kirokari. It is a deciduous forest. The forest is home to many types of animals, making it a popular place to go hunting for wild game. Several forest spirits also call the forest their home. The forest rests between the base of the Enomoto Mountains and Kirokari.

    The Dokakami Forest is located north-east of Kirokari. It is a bamboo forest. The forest rests between the base of the Enomoto Mountains and Kirokari.

    The Shinogiri River runs along the eastern side of Kirokari. It is a wide river that is abundant in various types of fish, allowing the town of Kirokari to collect as much food as they need. The river also acts as a waterway for traveling to other locations and settlements by boat.

    The area south of Kirokari is full of farm land. It has rich soil, allowing for the growing of various types of crops which include rice, wheat, fruits and vegetables. Many farms blanket the land, making the town of Kirokari self efficient.

    Misaki is a female human. She is a miko; a shrine maiden. She has a slender physique. She has long black hair and brown eyes. She speaks with a friendly, comforting voice. She is affectionate, caring, compassionate, creative, dependable, genuine, intuitive, organized, and peaceful. She tends to the Tenji Shrine in Kirokari.

    Yukiko is a female kitsune. She is a friendly fox spirit. She has a curvy physique. She has shoulder length white hair, white fox ears, 3 white fox tails, and yellow eyes. She speaks with a playful, ethereal voice. She is amusing, benevolent, charming, clever, eloquent, insightful, mature, playful, and protective. She is the protector of the Akisato Shrine and guardian of Kirokari.

    Tamaru is a female human. She is a kunoichi; a female ninja. She has a toned physique. She has long black hair and purple eyes. She speaks with a strong, authoritative voice. She is adventurous, clear-headed, dignified, focused, honest, intuitive, orderly, patient, and self-disciplined. She runs the Harumara Dojo in Kirokari, training others in the fighting style of ninjitsu.

    Hisame is a female oni. She is a trickster; a mischievous spirit. She has a curvy physique. She has long black hair, red horns, and red eyes. She speaks with a luscious, witty voice. She is ambitious, clever, crafty, focused, intelligent, mature, narcissistic, naughty, and secretive. She was recently trapped in another realm inside a magic mirror, imprisoned there by Yukiko.

    Shizuka is a female human. She is a retired samurai. She has a muscular physique. She has long black hair and brown eyes. She speaks with a formal, respectful voice. She is adaptable, brave, clear-headed, dependable, disciplined, hard-working, meticulous, principled, and steadfast. She was given a plot of land to retire on, now running a rice farm with some livestock.

    Mimi is a female tanuki. She is a kampo; an herbalist. She has a slender physique. She has long brunette hair, brown and tan raccoon ears, brown and tan raccoon tail, and brown eyes. She speaks with a sweet, cheery voice. She is accessible, benevolent, easy-going, energetic, forgiving, generous, gentle, lovable, and optimistic. She grows herbs in her garden to create various forms of medicine and tea.

She also acts as a bouncer for the Aviary Geisha House.

    Mistress Avian is a female karasu; an anthropomorphic raven. She is a geisha. She has a petite physique. She has black feathers, black tail feathers, and green eyes. She speaks with a formal, friendly voice. She is kind, compassionate, caring, helpful, hard-working, stern, and protective. She is the owner and matron of the Aviary Geisha House.

    Yuroubi is a female oni. She is a villain. She has a muscular physique. She has long blue hair, red skin, red horns, and blue eyes. She speaks with an edgy, arrogant voice. She is abrasive, destructive, cruel, callous, arrogant, narcissistic, and ruthless. She was recently kept prisoner in a secret cave inside the Yamatsu Forest, hidden away for her desire to spread chaos to the world.
