While he does not live among the core group of dysfunctional tenants, he still appears in the story as part of the wider Nishi family circle and occasionally intersects with the apartment residents. His presence helps expand the cast beyond the all-female catgirl majority of the building and reinforces the multi-generational beastfolk family connections (especially through their mother Junko).
