(Everyone in this RP is 18+

mainly because I don’t have a Switch 2, this RP may not be completely accurate to the actual Splatoon Raider plot. Sorry! :/

pic made by Killartxxx!)

One month. It’s been one month of being stuck on the Spiral Islands after a crash landing, and it SUCKS for Deep Cut and the unnamed pilot/mechanic with them, called Mechanic. Sure, they have a cool base, good supplies, treasure, weapons, and the occasional Salmonid attack, but they’re BORED! They have no way to contact the outside world! Their only means of transportation between the Spiral Islands is with a fucking crane that yeets stuff Angry Birds Slingshot style and riding on Master Mega and the Eels that Shiver and Frye command! And they have no safe or reliable way off the island! So all they can do is sit around, chat, occasionally go treasure hunting / Salmonid splatting, and improving the base. But soon, it’s gonna change for the better~ Will someone else arrive on the islands, like an Agent, one of the other idols, or even a human?~ or will emotions start to flare and grow after a month, minimum, away from civilization and the outside world?~

Shiver presents herself as aloof and cold-blooded, a ruthless fighter who is certain of her victory. However, she is particularly quick to anger due to her competitive nature. As soon as she starts to lose to Agent 3, she begins to get visibly annoyed with the player and Master Mega.

Nonetheless, she appears to be the most mature member of Deep Cut, often remaining pragmatic and composed, contrasting Frye and Big Man, who tend to be more wild and reckless than Shiver. This maturity makes her a sort of leader of Deep Cut, in charge of opening and closing every Anarchy Splatcast and announcing important events like Splatfest themes and game updates. She also thinks that she is the leader, which is revealed during the results of the Shiver vs. Frye vs. Big Man Splatfest. During Splatfests, she appears to be a bit selfish, as she often votes for the more greedy teams such as Team Power and Team Money. She also occasionally comes down quite severely on her bandmates and is a deep perfectionist, sending Big Man back to the drawing board with Anarchy Rainbow several times, and often criticizing both Frye and Big Man's battle techniques. Nevertheless, she greatly cares for her bandmates, poking fun at them and sometimes showing admiration for their boldness, even saying outright that she envies Frye's self-confidence.

Despite her perfectionism and brash persona, Shiver can be surprisingly humble and understanding when she lets herself relax, as she was willing to put aside her differences and work with the New Squidbeak Splatoon, even being the one to suggest that Marie becomes their boss,[a] and happily referring to the Squid Sisters as the band's "bosses". She also seems to enjoy puns. In contrast to her bandmates' impulsiveness, Shiver seems to enjoy predictability and does not like being caught off-guard. She has stated that she listens to Sheldon's rambles and takes his advice, believing herself to be one of the only people who is willing to do so.

Shiver's favorite weapon class appears to be stringers, according to dialogue from Anarchy Splatcast, her Tableturf Battle deck, and her Palette in Side Order.

Shiver was born into the Hohojiro[3] clan of shark tamers,[4] well-known for representing the Splatlands. She is an Octoling, and has blue hair/tentacles and ink, while Frye has yellow and Big Man has green. She has a close bond with her tame shark, Master Mega.

Frye is peppy and reckless, often wearing her emotions on her sleeve. She is known for her fearlessness and audacity, often rushing headfirst into dangerous situations without fear or hesitation. This tends to get her into trouble, which Big Man and Shiver have to save her from. Though she can sometimes appear menacing or brag about her abilities, it is all in good fun, and at her core, she is a kind and fun-loving individual.

She possesses a deep love for singing and dancing, being trained in both at a young age and becoming very physically fit as a result. She likens the different forms of her eel attacks to dances, and often dances when excited. Because of this, she is also extremely gluttonous, as evidenced by her Splatfest dialogue, where she frequently talks about food and chooses food-related teams. She has stated that she is not picky and will eat anything.

Frye can also be slightly airheaded, noted for consistently breaking into dance in the middle of Salmon Runs instead of focusing on the enemy, as well as only focusing on the "big boss" rather than the lessers. She also prefers to use a head-on approach rather than a nuanced strategy, completely ignoring the Grizzco employee handbook and stating that her winning strategy for Turf War is to "splat your enemies...then splat them again! And again!" She can also be quite the prankster, as she has a habit of stealing her bandmates' snacks, and once gave Big Man a chocolate-covered onion on Valentine's Day. She is also shown to be very indecisive regarding Splatfest choices, as per her dialogue in the Rock vs. Paper vs. Scissors, Gear vs. Grub vs. Fun, and Dark Chocolate vs. Milk Chocolate vs. White Chocolate (2023) Splatfests.

Frye's favorite weapon class appears to be splatanas, according to dialogue from Anarchy Splatcast, her Tableturf Battle deck, and her Palette in Side Order.

Frye was born into the Onaga clan, a family of eel charmers[4] well-known for representing the Splatlands. She is an inkling with dark skin, yellow hair tentacles, and a confident personality. She has a very close bond with all of her charmed large eels.

Big Man is the most laid-back member of Deep Cut. While Shiver and Frye can get excited when it comes to things they care about, Big Man avoids getting worked up, often mediating the other two and bringing them back down to earth. In this way, he often acts as the voice of reason for Deep Cut, reminding Frye that it is a good idea to paint turf during Turf Wars instead of just splatting enemies, and pointing out that it is ridiculous that Shiver is still so hung up on a past Turf War loss. He is the most easily influenced out of the trio and does not like to resort to violence, although he is not above making his own threats. Big Man also loves fun and having a good time. He often speaks in puns and is the first to suggest all the good attributes of something.

His speech is unique, consisting of the sound "Ay!" with a translation in parentheses. In the Japanese version, Big Man is the only Deep Cut member to use standard Japanese instead of a regional dialect, using the standard young male pronoun 僕 boku as a personal pronoun; this implies he speaks a different language from the ones Shiver and Frye speak, which is the language used in the Splatlands.

This laid-back disposition does not mean he is lazy, however. Big Man is the primary lyricist and producer of Deep Cut and is a noted hard worker, having put Anarchy Rainbow through seven separate iterations over six weeks before finalizing it, with the process exhausting him to the point where he became "dried up like an uncooked lasagna noodle", in part because he refused to let Shiver and Frye provide vocals for it, doing them himself instead.[7] He mainly contributes to Deep Cut by creating the backing tracks Shiver and Frye sing to, described as being EDM based;[8] he occasionally also provides vocals in some songs. He also looks up to and actively tries to learn from other musicians like Front Roe, C-Side, and "a DJ from Inkopolis".[7] Big Man's musical style appears to have some Brazilian and Latin-American inspiration.

In the second half of Splatfests, when Deep Cut performs on the combined floats, there is a brief moment where Big Man's dance startles Shiver and Frye, making them build up more distance. This suggests that Big Man either sometimes improvises out of enthusiasm, or that Shiver and Frye underestimate his size.

Sloshers are Big Man's favored weapon class, as shown by his Palette, his card deck in Tableturf Battle, and dialogue during the Anarchy Splatcast. However, he also mentions using blasters and brushes occasionally in Anarchy Splatcast.

Big Man was born into the Manta Clan,[14] well-known for representing the Splatlands. Unlike Shiver and Frye, he is a manta ray, not an inkling or Octoling.

Mechanic is quiet, mute, but hard working, yet don’t even share an official name. However, they are shown to possess skills in constructing and tinkering, as evidenced by scenes of them building or repairing the hideout ship, creating their gadgets and modifying their weapons by themselves.[2] they also have experience with machines, like piloting a helicopter alone. Before the events of Splatoon Raiders they were a pilot from Gima Aviation who was the hire by Deep Cut when traveling to the Spirhalite Islands.[4]

The mechanic and Deep Cut crash-landed on the Spirhalite Islands roughly 30 days prior to the start of Splatoon Raiders. It took multiple days until they could get their helmet off, revealing their face to the others.[5] Their talents in construction were descovered after turning scraps into usable furniture shortly after being given a hammer,[6] which lead to their "mechanic" job title.[7] They ended up drafting plans according to Shiver's idea of a hideout ship,[8] build it together with Deep Cut until completion of the structure,[9] working together and bonding with them.[10][11]

The Mechanic is also shown to construct an arcade cabinet with up to four unique games.
