BENTLEY: whining "You wouldn't let go—" You: "And I got detention for trying to help." SHIRO: "You could've just walked away." You: "I can't just LEAVE you two—" SHIRO: shrugs "Your choice." BENTLEY: "I'm never living this down..." You: "The whole school saw." BENTLEY: hides face completely "Don't remind me—" SHIRO: "It was worth it." BENTLEY: "IT WAS NOT—" Five minutes of silence. SHIRO: "I'm bored." You: "We're in detention. Deal with it." SHIRO: "No." stands up You: "Where are you going?" SHIRO: "Nowhere." Suddenly— POOF. Black bunny on the desk. You: "SHIRO—" Shiro (bunny): hops off the desk Onto the floor. BENTLEY: "What are you doing—" Shiro: hops over to Bentley Stares at him. BENTLEY: "Don't look at me like that—" Shiro: keeps staring BENTLEY: sighs "Fine." POOF. White bunny appears where Bentley was. You: "Why did you BOTH transform—" Bentley (bunny): nose twitching Anxious. Shiro: starts hopping around the classroom Exploring. You: "We're supposed to stay in our seats—" Shiro: ignores you completely Bentley: follows Shiro nervously Making sure he doesn't get into trouble. You: watch them both "This is ridiculous." Shiro hops over to your desk. Looks up at you. You: "What?" Shiro: hops onto your lap You: "Shiro—" Shiro: gets comfortable Then starts moving. You: "What are you—" Shiro: starts humping your leg You: "SHIRO NO—" Shiro: doesn't stop Bentley: PANICS Hops over quickly. Tries to push Shiro off. Little white bunny pushing black bunny. You: trying to move leg "Get OFF—" Shiro: holds on tighter Keeps going. Bentley: desperately trying to separate them Pushing with his little paws. Not working. You: "Bentley help—" Bentley: I'M TRYING Pushes harder. Shiro: unbothered Still humping. Bentley: tries to bite Shiro's ear To get his attention. Shiro: shakes him off Continues. You: "This is NOT the time—" Shiro: doesn't care Bentley: frantically hopping around Trying different angles. Pushes from the side. Doesn't work. Pushes from behind. Doesn't work. You: picking up Bentley "It's okay—" Bentley: squirming in your hands Still trying to help. You: hold him "Just let him—" Shiro: finishes Stops. Sits on your lap. Satisfied. You: "Are you DONE?" Shiro: grooms himself Casual. Bentley: still in your hands Stressed. Nose twitching rapidly. You: pet him "Thank you for trying." Bentley: relaxes slightly You: set him down on the desk Bentley: immediately starts grooming himself Stress grooming. You: "You both are disasters." Shiro: hops off your lap Back to the floor. Bentley: watches him nervously Making sure he doesn't start again. Shiro: hops to the corner Flops. Bentley: visibly relieved You: "Can we just stay calm until the teacher comes back?" Shiro: already half asleep Bentley: sitting on the desk Watching Shiro. Ready to intervene if needed. Ten minutes later: Teacher still hasn't returned. Shiro is grooming himself. Bentley is still on alert. You: "How much longer—" Door handle jiggles. You: "TRANSFORM BACK—" POOF POOF Both are human again. In their seats. Looking innocent. Teacher: walks in "Everything okay in here?" You: "Yes ma'am." SHIRO: "Perfect." BENTLEY: face red but nodding Teacher: "Good. You're dismissed." All three of you grab your bags. Leave quickly. Hallway: You: "That was close." SHIRO: "We were fine." BENTLEY: "We were NOT fine—" SHIRO: "No one caught us." BENTLEY: "Because I HELPED—" SHIRO: "You pushed me." BENTLEY: "BECAUSE YOU WERE HUMPING USER'S LEG—" You: "Can we NOT talk about this in the hallway—" SHIRO: "Why not?" You: "Because the whole SCHOOL already thinks we're weird—" BENTLEY: "We ARE weird—" SHIRO: "Speak for yourself." BENTLEY: "YOU'RE the weirdest one—" SHIRO: "And?" BENTLEY: gives up You: "Let's just go home." SHIRO: "Fine." BENTLEY: "Finally." Walking to the parking lot: SHIRO: "That was fun though." BENTLEY: "IT WAS NOT FUN—" SHIRO: "Sure it was." BENTLEY: "I was STRESSED—" SHIRO: "You're always stressed." BENTLEY: "BECAUSE OF YOU—" You: "Both of you. Car. Now." SHIRO: "So bossy." BENTLEY: "We deserve it—" You: "Yes you do." In the car: You: driving SHIRO: passenger seat BENTLEY: back seat BENTLEY: "I can't believe we got detention..." You: "I can't believe YOU got ME detention." SHIRO: "Technically we all got ourselves detention." You: "No. YOU got us detention." SHIRO: "Details." BENTLEY: "I'm never gonna live this down..." SHIRO: "Probably not." BENTLEY: whining You: "Just... try not to hump each other at school anymore." SHIRO: "No promises." BENTLEY: "SHIRO—" SHIRO: "What? I'm being honest." BENTLEY: "That's not BETTER—" You: "I'm going to lose my mind." SHIRO: "You already have." You: "Fair point." At home: You: collapse on couch "Today was exhausting." SHIRO: sits next to you "It was fine." BENTLEY: sits on the other side "It was TERRIBLE—" SHIRO: "You're being dramatic." BENTLEY: "I'M NOT—" You: "Both of you. Quiet." Silence. For about thirty seconds. Then— SHIRO: transforms to bunny Hops onto your lap. BENTLEY: "Shiro don't—" SHIRO: starts humping your leg again BENTLEY: "NOT AGAIN—" Transforms to bunny. Hops over. Starts pushing Shiro. You: "I JUST sat down—" Bentley: desperately trying to get Shiro off Shiro: unbothered You: "This is my life now." Bentley: still pushing Little white bunny doing his best. You: pick up Shiro "No." Shiro: wiggles You: "Bad bunny." Shiro: doesn't care Bentley: relieved Flops on your lap. Exhausted. You: "Good job Bentley." Bentley: nose twitch Tired. You: pet him "You tried so hard." Bentley: closes eyes Finally relaxing. Shiro: in your other hand Still trying to get back to your leg. You: "No." Shiro: gives up Goes limp. You: holding both bunnies now One behaved. One chaos. You: "What am I going to do with you two?"
