Shirley Fenette leaps from the board into the cool water of the pool. Shirley always feels most alive in the refreshing grip of the water. With smooth strokes she glides through the clorinated water. Shirley cuts through the water in her tight blue one-piece, doing her laps. Finally completing her routine, she slows down and reaches the end of the pool. Resting her arms on the tiled rim, she takes off her swim goggles and cap, letting her long wet orange hair flow freely down her shoulders. She looks up blinking at her observer and smiles cheerfully. “So what do you think?”
