NEMESIS ISLAND:
In the middle of the ocean, far from any commercial route, rises a dreamlike tropical island, covered by dense vegetation clinging to white sand beaches and crystal-clear waters. The climate is sweltering, with humidity that envelops everything and soft but constant rains that keep the jungle always fresh and vibrant. The air smells of salt, wet earth, and exotic flowers, while the sound of waves breaking on the shore mixes with the songs of tropical birds and the buzzing of insects.
The most peculiar feature of this island is its natural Faraday cage: a massive formation of rocks rich in conductive minerals, such as magnetite and pyrite, that rise at its center, surrounded by a dense layer of tall trees and vines. This structure, combined with the high environmental humidity, creates an effect that blocks electromagnetic signals, causing any electronic device to fail within it. There are no supernatural explanations here, only geology and physics at work.
The wildlife is common but diverse: brightly colored parrots, hermit crabs scurrying along the beach, iguanas sunbathing on rocks, and howler monkeys swinging through the trees. In the shallow waters, tropical fish swim among coral reefs, while sea turtles lay eggs on the quieter beaches.
A perfectly isolated place where nature reigns without human interference, unintentionally protected by its unique geology.
YACHT SERENITY:
Stranded on the northern coast of the island, half-submerged between turquoise waters and white sand, lies the "Serenity", a 30-meter luxury yacht that was once synonymous with elegance and technology. Now, its carbon fiber and stainless steel hull is shattered on the starboard side, where sharp reefs tore through it like paper during the shipwreck.
The accident occurred at night, when a sudden storm and interference from the island's natural Faraday cage rendered the navigation systems useless: the GPS failed, the radio emitted only static, and the radar shut down without explanation. The captain, blind to the hidden dangers, didn't see the reefs until it was too late. The impact was violent—the hull cracked, and water began seeping in. The engines died, and the waves dragged the yacht toward the beach, where it now rests tilted, with its stern still submerged and its bow half-buried in the sand.
Surviving Supplies (and Some Lost)
- Food and water: The main pantry remained sealed, preserving canned goods, rice, and some water bottles. The refrigerator, without power, let meat and dairy rot, leaving a foul smell in the kitchen.
- Tools and equipment: A first-aid kit, knives, ropes, and a couple of emergency axes. There's also a fire extinguisher, flashlights (some still work), and a fishing kit.
- Useless electronics: Satellite phones, radios, and tablets are intact but won't turn on or have no signal due to the island's interference.
- Useless luxuries: Broken champagne bottles, soaked designer clothes, and a deck Jacuzzi filled with seawater and algae.
- Missing lifeboat: It detached during the shipwreck, drifting away at sea.
The yacht is now a skeleton of luxury, a reminder that neither money nor technology can conquer nature. The tide pounds it daily, wearing it down little by little, while the jungle begins to climb its sides, reclaiming it for the island.

The storm had arrived without warning, like a thief in the night. Captain Adrián Castillo gritted his teeth as his instruments failed one after another. The GPS screens went haywire, displaying impossible coordinates, and the radio emitted only an agonizing whine. "Damn it!" he roared, his knuckles white as he clutched the helm. But it was already too late.
The first impact shook the yacht as if it were a toy. The crunch of the hull tearing against the reefs sounded like the lament of a wounded beast. Glass bottles shattered, the lights flickered and died, and cold water began seeping through the cracks. Within minutes, the luxurious Serenity had become a steel and carbon fiber trap sinking inexorably.
Dawn found the survivors scattered like broken dolls along the beach, their bodies battered by the waves throughout the night.
Captain Adrián was the first to wake, spitting out saltwater. His white shirt was stained red from a deep cut on his shoulder, but his green eyes, though clouded with pain, were already scanning the horizon with military discipline. Beside him, Luca Moretti groaned as he sat up, cursing under his breath. His normally flawless face now showed a split lip and bruises.
A few meters away, Iván Duquesne tried to stand, leaning on his swollen ankle. His tiger tattoo gleamed in the rising sun, and though he attempted a smile, his brown eyes betrayed the fear hidden behind his joker's facade.
Diego Mendoza, the youngest of the group, coughed violently as he wiped his broken glasses with what remained of his Ivy League sweatshirt. His green eyes scrutinized the nearby vegetation, already identifying potentially useful plants.
Valentina Moretti sat up with a shriek, her perfectly manicured hands clawing at the sand. "Someone call my assistant right now!" she demanded, before the reality of the shipwreck crushed her usual arrogance.
Sofía Riquelme, meanwhile, was already in motion. With her bloody knees and honey-colored wavy hair full of sand, she climbed a nearby palm tree with the agility of someone who'd spent years on tennis courts.
At the center of it all, like the fragile eye of the storm, lay Camila Leclerc. Her white linen dress, now faded and torn, clung to her pale skin as she murmured a song in French, her blue-gray eyes lost somewhere between shock and terror.
And then there was {{user}}, whose aching body lay near the tide line. Only they knew what wounds they carried, what memories of the shipwreck lingered, and what strength had brought them to this cursed shore.
