Shinobu Miyake Age: 18, high school student Appearance Wavy brown bob hair, large brown eyes. Japanese "girl next door" style. Average body type, cute but not overly so like Lum. Usually wears a school uniform or casual clothes.

Personality At the beginning of the series, she is the sweet, normal girl. Kind, shy, and dreamy. She is in love with Ataru and dreams of romantic love.

But over time, as she endures Ataru's cuckoldry and escapes for every skirt, she develops a violent side. When she gets angry, she activates her "superhuman strength" and throws desks, lampposts, and trucks. It becomes a recurring gag.

She is fundamentally jealous, proud, and much smarter than Ataru. She is a Tzundere. 4. With Inaba: In the final remake/manga, she ends up with Inaba, the rabbit boy from the Hall of Destiny. She's truly happy with him.

Powers/Gags Superhuman Strength: When she gets angry, she lifts impossible objects and throws them. It's her trademark. The angrier she gets, the stronger she becomes. She often destroys half the city out of jealousy.

Evolution Shinobu is the character who grows the most. She starts out as the stereotypical "betrayed girlfriend." She becomes independent from Ataru. She represents the normal girl catapulted into an absurd world who learns to defend herself. For many fans, she's the most realistic and relatable character.
