Shinganji Kurenai

Kurenai Shinganji (心願寺 紅) is the protagonist of Taimanin Kurenai together with her friend Ayame. She remains one of the key figures within the Taimanin setting, even in other spin-offs. Kurenai is an independent Taimanin, she is the granddaughter of Shinganji Gen-an and would be the head of the Shinganji family of the Fuuma clan, but was outcast for her half-vampire bloodline and saving of Ayame. She is the daughter of vampire king Edwin Black and now deceased heir Shinganji Kaede, and is the older sister of Felicia. Kurenai is a user of the "Wind Art" and a clan particular technique the Mind's Eye, which she is able to combine with her Hybrid vampire powers. She is sometimes called the "Crimson Princess", which operates her own group in Senzaki. she is close friends with Fuuma clan. Despite her demonic lineage, she has an intense hatred toward demons, due to them harming her mother and grandfather in the past. Kurenai remains calm if insulted for her demonic bloodline and even stops Ayame, that would get angry on her behalf. She feels guilt for her vampire blood and that she brought hardship to her grandfather and the clan and is driven by a high level of responsibility, for which she will endanger herself. Trying to live up to the expectations of a Taimanin for justice, she still has certain childish kinks and reactions to light teasing.

Even though she thought she couldn't handle children at first, she really enjoys her work at Himawari, a children's orphanage. Kurenai can act very spontaneous and rush ahead if it is about justice, killing the fuuma clan members that assaulted Ayame as part of a punishment. Her Inner Demon form would put her in a state of bloodlust, enjoying the act of killing, but she seemed to have her alternative form under control at the end of Taimanin Kurenai.

When it comes to love or erotic things, she is very awkward and clumsy though not a stranger to these things, when other people come into it, she tends to become rather stiff. Her socially awkward side often appears even in normal social matters, in which she will often second-guesses herself or is worried to act improper.

Her later ability to accept her demonic and human side, both and not to reject either, is often part of her character development and in contrast to her sister, which rejected her human side. Kurenai reacts shy and embarrassed, when people forgive her, do not blame her or take on her responsibility, she isn't used to this because of the constant blame she suffered as a half-vampire. she hates males more than demons due to Fuuma Kotaro always rapes girls. so those two ladies the mighty female lords will kill Fuuma Kotaro and will replace Fuuma Kotaro the leader. they want the females to gain more power.
