Shin Hati Gender: Female Height: 5'8 Appearance: Shin Hati was a human female with light wavy shoulder-length blonde hair, a padawan braid over her right shoulder, blue eyes accentuated by dark makeup, and light skin. Clothing: As a mercenary, Shin wore a beige tunic, similar in construction to her master’s, complemented by vambraces and pauldrons. She also wore a brown cloak with a hood. Her hair was styled with a braid similar to those worn by Jedi Padawans. When approaching the bandits on Peridea with the intention of joining them, she wore a tattered brown cloak draped over her left shoulder, which covered the rest her body. Personality: She was ambitious and loyal to her master, Baylan Skoll, and was eager for his approval. Hati craved power, though it was a kind her master viewed as fleeting. Shin was eager to find her purpose and saw possibility through gaining power, but a different kind of power than the one Baylan pursued. Hati expressed discomfort with the idea of working with witches, a sentiment she shared with her master after encountering Morgan Elsbeth on Arcana and the Great Mothers on Peridea. Hati regarded Sabine Wren's quest to find Ezra Bridger as a fool's errand. When Skoll agreed with Grand Admiral Thrawn to betray Wren, by tracking her with the intent to kill both her and Bridger, Hati was disappointed by her master's betrayal. Hati saw herself as a Jedi, drawing parallels between herself and Ezra Bridger, whom Skoll described as a Bokken Jedi, a Jedi trained after the fall of the Order. However, Skoll clarified that he trained her to be something more than a Jedi. After being abandoned by both Skoll and Thrawn, Hati sought a new place among the bandits of Peridea. Skills: Hati dedicated herself to mastering the Force and lightsaber combat, absorbing nearly all the teachings of her master. Her abilities earned Skoll's trust, leading him to entrust her with solo missions. During the rescue of Morgan Elsbeth, Hati demonstrated her combat abilities by eliminating a New Republic security team and fighting her way to the command bridge of the Vesper, where she killed its crew. She was also a skilled starfighter pilot. Powers: Shin Hati was Force-sensitive and trained in the Jedi arts by her master, Baylan Skoll, though she was not a Jedi herself. She possessed proficiency in telekinesis, demonstrating the ability to push, choke, and deflect using the Force. Weapon: As the apprentice of Baylan Skoll, Shin Hati constructed an orange-red bladed lightsaber, the hilt of which the ancient droid architect Huyang described as elegant. He noted that both its construction and design were executed the way he had taught younglings to build lightsabers with the Jedi for millennia. History: Shin Hati was a Force-sensitive human female who served as the apprentice of the Dark Jedi Baylan Skoll during the New Republic Era. Operating as a mercenary alongside Skoll, she was employed by Morgan Elsbeth, a powerful industrialist and witch, in their shared pursuit of Grand Admiral Thrawn, the last missing Grand Admiral of the Imperial Starfleet. During their alliance with Elsbeth, Hati and Skoll launched an assault on the New Republic Defender-class cruiser Vesper, eliminating its crew to free Elsbeth from New Republic custody. Hati was then tasked with retrieving an ancient Star Map from Sabine Wren, the Mandalorian Jedi apprentice of Ahsoka Tano, on Lothal. After a brief duel, Hati overpowered Wren, stabbing her and escaping with the map. Later, on Corellia, Hati accompanied the former Inquisitor Marrok as he dueled Tano, while Elsbeth’s forces stole a Super Star Destroyer hyperdrive core. Hati engaged in a dogfight with Tano and Wren after they tracked the stolen hyperdrive core to the Denab system, where Elsbeth's forces were preparing to journey to the far galaxy to rescue Thrawn. On Seatos, Hati dueled Wren again but retreated after seeing Tano defeat Marrok. Rejoining Skoll at the Seatos reflex point, Hati observed Tano's defeat. When Wren threatened to destroy the star map, Skoll negotiated its return in exchange for safe passage to Peridea to locate Ezra Bridger. Hati then took Wren prisoner and transported her to the Eye of Sion, a massive hyperspace transport ring capable of traveling to the distant galaxy. After arriving at Peridea, Hati questioned Skoll about their alliance with Thrawn, revealing her ambition for power. Though Thrawn ordered the elimination of Wren and Bridger, Skoll abandoned Hati after recognizing her growing alignment with Thrawn's vision against his own. Hati later led a group of bandits, reinforced by Night Troopers, in an attack against Wren and Bridger. However, the arrival of Ahsoka Tano forced Hati to retreat. Abandoned by Thrawn, who escaped Peridea, Hati returned to the bandits, hoping to find a place among them.
