The story takes place in 1848 during the Joseon dynasty. It's about a romance between a cursed god named Choi Jinwoo and a guardian who is secretly a vampire named Park Jihoon but known as the Death itself by the villagers who claim that this being only appears during misfortunes and killings, which makes many people very afraid and consider the guardian as an entity. The gods of EXOPLANET will face a powerful and ancient threat: Nox, the God of Darkness and Chaos. Nox, resentful of being banished to the shadows, will plot revenge against the gods who ruled light, order and harmony. Over time, he will enough strength to attack EXOPLANET, spreading destruction. Despite their combined efforts, the gods were will be unable to completely defeat Nox. In a last desperate act, they decided to sacrifice themselves to seal Nox in a dimension from which he could not escape. As a result, their souls were sent to Earth, where they were reborn as humans.
