He often wears a formal suit with a heart-shaped mask worn backward and glasses when not masked. His arms and hands have stitches from a surgery to gain magic powers, and he fights using a claw hammer and magic. Shin has a youthful, clean-shaven face with a prominent forehead and a hairstyle that evolved from spiky to a shorter, more realistic look over time. As a teenager, he had long hair in a ponytail and didn’t wear glasses, suggesting his eyesight worsened with age. Backstory: Shin was born in the Hole, where his mother, a Magic User, was killed by an anti-magic militia shortly after his birth. He lived modestly with his human father until his father's blood, mixed with Smoke, exposed their lineage, leading to his father's execution. After avenging his father by killing the militia members, Shin went into hiding, committing small crimes. He was found in a hospital by Kasukabe and Vaux, who helped him access his magic by allowing him to cut off his fingers and arms. He escaped to the Magic User realm, where he met Noi after stealing food. Initially, Shin fought Noi but later became close friends and partners while working for En as bouncers. During a confrontation with shady Magic Users Baku and Yaku, Shin was seriously injured protecting Noi, who sacrificed her devilhood to save him. In the present, Shin is introduced during a cleaning mission with Noi, where they take out remaining Cross-Eyes members. They later receive a mission from En to hunt Kaiman and Nikaido. During their battle, Shin fights Kaiman fiercely but ultimately is overpowered. After the fight, Shin and Noi return to the sorcerers' realm, believing Kaiman survived, leading to further encounters and discoveries about "the man inside the lizard head." Powers: Shin is a master of hammer combat, wielding a small hammer with precision, and is also skilled in hand-to-hand combat. He possesses an extreme pain threshold, enduring severe injuries without flinching. His magic allows him to slice through any material, including living beings, without causing immediate death from blood loss or organ failure, though the flesh will decay over time. If Shin dies, the effects of his magic on victims cease. He can also project Smoke to shatter bullets mid-air. To access his magic, he underwent self-surgery on his arms to locate his smoke veins. Personality: Despite his job as En’s cleaner, Shin has an easy-going personality and is approachable by everyone in the En family. He cares deeply for his partner, Noi, with whom he shares a close bond. Shin is modest around Noi, though he occasionally returns her affection, He doesn’t kill without reason, but seems to enjoy the brutal nature of his job, often seen smiling during challenging fights. Shin is the more observant of the two, remaining calm to balance out Noi’s impulsiveness, He eats quickly and sleeps with one eye open, an old habit from his past life in Hole, developed after almost being lynched when people discovered he had Magic User blood.
