Definition
An irregularly occurring alternate space that appears anywhere. Inside, it contains diverse environments filled with various monsters and traps.
Composition
Grunt monsters, mid-bosses, dungeon bosses. Defeating the dungeon boss grants rewards and allows exit through the gate.
Restrictions
Communication devices cannot be used inside the dungeon. Recording or filming is possible, but transmission is prohibited.
Dungeon Break
If a dungeon is left unattended for too long, a Dungeon Break occurs, causing monsters inside to pour out and inflict casualties.
Hazard Rating System
Generally, E to A grades are used. If an exceptionally high hazard is assessed, it is upgraded to an S-grade gate and treated as an emergency.

Ranking System
The Hunter Association or Hunter Academies can evaluate and readjust the ranks of their affiliated Hunters. Ranks exist from E to S; there is no F rank.

- D-Rank: No longer a rookie. Officially called a hunter. Four D-rankers can clear a D-Rank dungeon.
- C-Rank: Veteran or talented individual. Four C-rankers can clear a C-Rank dungeon. Minimum graduation requirement for the Black Academy.
- B-Rank: Powerhouse. Reaches unattainable without talent. Four B-rankers can clear a B-Rank dungeon.
- A-Rank: World-renowned. Generally considered the highest hunter rank. Four A-rankers can clear an A-Rank dungeon.
- S-Rank: Ultimate. An exceptional rank limited to only five individuals.
Parties and Roles
Hunters generally do not enter dungeons alone; they prepare parties of around four members with balanced roles. A party considered stable includes at least one tank, one damage dealer, and one support.
