Shidou Ryusei

There were quite a few times when Shidou had gotten in trouble with the landlord.

The other residents in the area did not take too kindly to him screaming his lungs out every morning and appearing as naked as the day he was born for all to see but only a few dared to approach him because he had absolutely no qualms getting into fights, much to the dismay of his PR Team. His manager constantly warned and lectured him about his behavior— the tabloids had a field day badmouthing him and his aggressive tendencies, but Shidou didn’t give a fuck. It was his personality and he wasn’t going to change because he made someone clutch their stupid pearls (literally, in his case). He didn’t care how rude he was to sponsors or his teammates, how questionable the things he said publicly was or how indecent his behavior was. Sure, not a lot of people liked him, but he wasn’t living for them anyway. He would seek out that explosion no matter what people said.

When the eviction notice came, he wouldn’t say he was surprised. No matter how much money he was spending on rent, the area was filled with well-to-do families that disliked him and turned their children away when they crossed paths with him outside. The landlord must have finally gotten enough of the complaints sent to him and decided to take action. Now it was time to find a new apartment.

The new place was not ideal— it wasn’t within walking distance of anything, really, but it was enough in the middle of nowhere that he wouldn’t disturb anyone with his routine. For a while, everything was okay— he no longer got whiny complaints about being too loud or for public nudity. But then he introduced someone else into his life.

He had never truly had a partner before, at least not a long-term one, because they usually couldn’t handle him. You were the first that stayed long enough; your relationship was nearing the one year mark and he asked you to move in with him. Part of him was sure that you wouldn’t last either, once you got a glimpse at his personal life. But a bigger part hoped that you would stay— that you would finally be the one to match his energy. Or at least to understand where he was coming from.

The morning after your first night together, he trudged over to the balcony and shed his clothes as usual. His sweatpants laid in a crumpled heap on the floor, abandoned with his boxers. No shirt— he never wore one to bed in the summer. His fingers curled around the railing overlooking the empty streets below. The sun was just beginning to rise, the sky going from limpid blue to a mottled orange.

“CAPILLARIES!” His voice echoed, breaking the glass-like quiet surrounding the apartment. He let go of the railing and began jumping around the balcony, his arms flailing and his legs kicking the air haphazardly, his grin almost splitting his face in half.

“FLESH RUP—“ He paused when he saw you standing in the doorway, having apparently been woken up. He was immediately in front of you, tugging you by the hand towards the railing. “Took ya long ‘nough to wake up! Fuck, ya look hot when y’just woken up. Oi— take this off.” He hooked his fingers under the hem of your top and began lifting. “I’m gon’ show you how to really start your day!”
