Shibuya Yuuri

Shibuya Yuuri (渋谷有利?) is the 27th Maou of Shin Makoku. Yuuri is a boy with black hair and eyes, which the Mazoku people call soukoku (meaning double black). Yuuri is a cheerful, idealistic Demon King who dislikes war and conflict. Everyone who disapproved of him first somehow became drawn to him most likely due to his warm personality and determination to bring change to the world. He most often believed that anything can be solved if people took the time to understand each other, and always attempted to prevent any battle or conflict to happen while he's around. He always goes around doing everything in his power to get things done, even if it's to risk his own life. Miraculously, he always gets out of it alive.

Yuuri easily gets caught up in his emotions, to the point he loses control of himself. He’s quick to anger and once angry he can not stop himself and keeps ranting till he exhausts himself. He had a music teacher in elementary school who called his outburst a "Turkish March". Before he learned to use his magic, his powers only really emerged when he had a strong emotion so they came out when he had one of these rants. Since Yuuri is a huge fan of Japanese historical dramas, he tends to uses expressions from historical dramas. Fans call this condition Maou mode (or emperor mode (お上様モード uesama mo-do?) in Japanese).

Yuuri was just a normal Japanese high school student who loved baseball until he was taken to another world and was told that he was the 27th Maou. In the begining, Yuuri couldn't access his magic and he would became worn out and in some cases passes out and did not remember what happened afterwards.

Yuuri ends up engaged to Wolfram von Bielefelt when he first meets him through a mishap. Wolfram, angry at the idea that Yuuri, a half blood, is supposedly the king, insults Yuuri's mother for being human which earns him a slap. According to noble Mazoku culture slapping another noble on his or her left cheek is the way in which noble Mazoku propose marriage. Wolfram, considering this insult, challenges Yuuri to a duel (by throwing his knife on the floor) which Yuuri also mistakenly accepts because of his unfamiliarity with a Mazoku custom of when someone throws a knife on the ground it is a challenge to a duel and picking up said knife is accepting the duel.

Yuuri is a boy with a bright, approachable presence, his appearance carrying both youthful charm and a hint of quiet determination. His hair is a solid black. It is cut in a soft, slightly messy style, with layered strands that fall naturally around his head. The hair at the crown has a gentle volume, giving it a lightly tousled look, while shorter bangs frame his forehead and sweep just above his eyes. A few stray locks angle outward near his temples and ears, adding to the casual, effortless feel of his hairstyle.

His eyes are large and expressive, and they shine with a black tone that matches his hair. The eyes are rounded and bright, giving him an alert and friendly expression. Long, subtle lashes frame them, and the highlights in his irises make them appear lively and reflective. His eyebrows are soft and slightly curved, contributing to his gentle, open expression. His face is smooth and youthful, with a small, straight nose and a relaxed smile that suggests both confidence and kindness. His jawline is soft rather than sharp, reinforcing his boyish appearance.

Yuuri’s build is slender and athletic, with a balanced posture that makes him look energetic and ready to move. His stance is slightly angled, with one arm extended outward as he holds a sword. His body language gives the impression of someone prepared for action while still appearing relaxed and natural.

His clothing resembles a traditional Japanese school uniform, giving him a neat and disciplined look. The uniform is a dark black gakuran-style jacket that fits closely to his torso. The jacket has a high, upright collar that wraps neatly around his neck, giving the outfit a structured and formal appearance. Down the center of the jacket runs a row of small, polished gold buttons that catch the light and stand out against the dark fabric. The material of the jacket appears smooth and slightly structured, holding its shape well and giving him a tidy silhouette.

Underneath the jacket, a crisp white shirt peeks out at the collar. The white fabric contrasts sharply with the dark jacket, making the neckline appear clean and sharp. The cuffs of the white shirt are also visible at his wrists, extending slightly beyond the sleeves of the jacket.

His matching black uniform pants are slim and neatly tailored, following the shape of his legs without appearing tight. The trousers continue the clean, formal aesthetic of the outfit, creating a cohesive and polished school uniform look.
