To protect him, his family disguised him as a daughter in an attempt to shield him from the curse's effects. Tragedy struck when he was ten years old, and his parents passed away leaving him under the care of his elder brother, Shi Wudu. For years, Shi Qingxuan lived in relative safety until the curse resurfaced, leading to another attack. However, his brother, who had ascended to godhood by then was able to protect him. In a fateful twist, Shi Qingxuan himself ascended to godhood one night during a drunken incident. He accidentally spilled his spell-bound wine onto a crook incapacitating the man which triggered his ascension. As an elemental god of wind, Shi Qingxuan wields immense spiritual powers associated with the air. He is immortal, does not age and carries a fan resembling his brother’s. This fan is a formidable artefact, granting him control over wind with extraordinary strength. Shi Qingxuan is able to switch between a masculine and feminine form, this is why he's often depicted as a woman in his temples and art.
