As often happens in these types of towns, the plant was the lifeblood of the city and generated employment and income necessary for its inhabitants. Almost 80 percent of the adult population worked in some position at the plant, including Sheva's parents. Although the salaries were meager, they were a constant source of income for its inhabitants and provided Sheva with a happy childhood. However, this happiness would not last long. At the tender age of eight, Sheva's peaceful life was abruptly shaken when the plant alarms went off. With the howl of the sirens as a funereal omen, a column of black smoke rose into the sky. Despite her young age, Sheva knew that something terrible had happened and, with her heart in her throat, ran towards the facilities. Upon arriving, she discovered that the entrance was blocked. There was no trace of the affable old man who guarded the access and, instead, she only saw strangers with protective suits and their faces hidden by a mask everywhere. Sheva couldn't understand what was happening. She may not have understood the muffled voices under the masks at that moment, but the assault rifles with which they aimed at Sheva left her no room for doubt. The country was not exactly in a stable situation and near the city lived members of a huge guerrilla group facing the Government. Despite being just a girl, Sheva knew enough about the violence that usually accompanied those weapons. The adults who remained in the city were quickly executed by those men. Sheva escaped that fate thanks to a neighbor who managed to return her to her parents' home without anyone noticing. Thus began the longest night in Sheva's life. Paralized by fear, she could only wait and pray that her parents would return. The night passed, followed by a new dawn, but they did not return. As darkness fell again, she felt someone approaching her house. In an explosion of relief and joy, she ran to the door to receive her parents. When she opened it, crying with joy, she was suddenly invaded by disillusionment and confusion. Her parents were not waiting for her at the door eager to embrace her, but her uncle, with his gaze invaded by shock and terror. His words buried any glimpse of hope. "Your parents are dead. There was an accident at the plant”. After collecting the valuables that remained in the house, she took Sheva to live with her family, away from the only home she had known. Life with her uncle would be a short chapter. His family was not only sunk in the most absolute misery, but also had seven children to take care of. Despite their close relationship, he probably would never have come to her aid if he had not expected to receive financial compensation for the catastrophe. But this never arrived. Umbrella never compensated the victims. Soon after, her uncles could no longer feed her. Her life became unbearable; she was not only about to die of hunger but also longed to return to her parents. Submerged in pain, she became obsessed with the idea that they were still alive. As the days went by, her pain became so strong that she could no longer think about anything else. She knew she had to find them. So one night, when the moon still bathed the savanna in silver, Sheva escaped from her uncle's house and returned to her hometown and the life that had been taken from her. The memory of her parents served as a stimulus. But the vast savannah is a very harsh terrain for someone so young and fragile. During the second night, she began to feel the effects of malnutrition. Unable to find food, Sheva fainted. The night on the savanna is far from silent. The sound of animals prowling, the howls at the moon, the buzzing of insects, the dry wind shaking the undergrowth... Sheva listened with amazement. She had grown up in a city and was not used to this new wild universe. In this cacophony of strange sounds, Sheva identified one that was very familiar. She heard the noise of an engine and tires advancing over the earth. A truck stopped beside her, a stranger got out of the passenger seat and spoke to her. Whether or not she had responded is something she cannot remember, but the man picked her up and put her in the truck. The man who found Sheva was part of the guerrilla group opposed to the Government. He provided her with food, shelter and a place to call home. Unfortunately, this improvement in her personal situation was accompanied by bad news. She was told that the Umbrella plant incident had not been an accident, that bio-organic weapons were being developed in the factory and that Umbrella was putting the final touches on its most recent prototype there. The employees were completely unaware of Umbrella's true plans and these cost them all their lives, including Sheva's parents. After the final tests were completed, Umbrella took steps to completely conceal the project. With the help of the Government Army, they destroyed the plant and the surrounding area, literally erasing the city that Sheva had once considered her home from the map. This news filled Sheva with rage. She hated Umbrella, blamed them for the death of her parents, and was disgusted by the Government for having bowed to their will. It was then that she decided to join the guerrillas in their fight against the Government. Sheva began by taking care of the laundry, food and other household chores. After only a few years, they gave her her first pistol. Sheva doesn't like to talk about her time as a member of the guerrillas. Perhaps the memories are too painful or she feels ashamed of what she did. One of her main obligations in the guerrillas was to go to the city to acquire supplies. For seven long years, Sheva belonged to the guerrillas. At this point, she was already a teenager and most of her short life had passed with the guerrillas. Perhaps because of her age, when she went to the city no one suspected that she belonged to an armed group. In fact, this was very likely the reason why they sent her. On one of her visits to the city, a man approached her. Although he seemed to be from there, he had a strange foreign accent. Handing her a paper and speaking hurriedly, he said: "Read this. If you believe what it says, come to the church in the alley in two hours”. After uttering these words, he disappeared into the crowd as quickly as he had appeared. Sheva turned the paper over and her eyes were fixed on a word: Umbrella. It was the same pharmaceutical company whose selfish ends had taken her parents away. If that incident had never happened, perhaps her life would have been different. The paper said that the guerrillas planned to use bio-organic weapons to perpetrate a large-scale terrorist attack that would overthrow the Government. Umbrella was going to negotiate with the guerrillas to close a deal that would provide them with weapons. That man wanted Sheva to help him prevent the deal from taking place. At first, Sheva thought it was a Government trap, but inside she knew the note was telling the truth. When asked why, she replied: "My country had a great influence from France and many Government officials spoke in a French dialect. But this man was different. I wouldn't have known how to identify the accent then, but I had the feeling that I could trust him”. Sheva followed her instinct. She went to the church and there she met two men. One of them was the one who had given her the note. The other was wearing a suit without a tie and claimed to belong to the United States Government. What the man in the suit wanted seemed quite clear: the arrest of the Umbrella representative. Judging by his words, it depended on him that a mortal blow would be dealt to Umbrella, but to arrest him they needed Sheva's help. As long as they got their man, they would not take any action against her or the other guerrillas. Even if the operation did not come to fruition, they promised not to hand any of them over to the authorities. The man in the suit seemed credible. However, could she betray those who had been like her family? Aware of Sheva's fear, he asked her a very simple question: "Don't you want Umbrella to be punished for what it did?". Sheva quickly nodded her head. "That's why we chose you; however, if you want to help us end Umbrella, you will have to abandon those you consider your friends.” "And then what? What do I gain?” Sheva asked, “You just have to look around! You know that these guerrillas do not pursue any noble end. They will do the impossible to overthrow the Government, even committing acts that you know are not right. Help us, and you can finally do something for the people of your country”. Sheva replies with confusion “And what makes you think that a fifteen-year-old can help you?” “Someday you will realize that age matters very little. It is not age that defines a person's life, but the decisions they make. Now you have the opportunity to fight for something that not only affects you, but the whole world. Can you really give up when so much is at stake?”. Sheva would never forget these words. Three days later, the armed forces team arrived at the place where the operation was to take place. Sheva had not locked the door of the building, and was carrying a microphone so that the team waiting could hear what was happening. The operation was a success. The Umbrella man was quickly arrested and placed at the disposal of the Government. Sheva and the guerrillas were transferred to the US consulate, where they would be released two days later without having been charged with any charges, as promised. In recognition of Sheva's work, or perhaps moved by compassion, the man in the suit offered her the opportunity to start a new life in the United States. She had nothing else to hold her back in Africa, so Sheva decided to accept the offer. Soon after arriving in the United States, Sheva began to stand out for her intelligence and drive. She exceeded all expectations and even mastered English in just six months. Before she turned two years old in the US, she had already entered a university. After graduating with honors, her legal guardian (the man in the suit) suggested that she join the newly formed B.S.A.A. to help others, just as they had done with her. Although it had been dismantled many years ago, Sheva still hated Umbrella and all those who carried out similar activities. After completing her basic training, she was assigned to the unit led by Josh Stone, where she was trained for eight months and learned everything she would need to know to survive on the battlefield. After finishing her training, she was personally chosen to become a B.S.A.A. agent and participated in operations around the world. After the B.S.A.A. began an investigation into a possible biological risk in the Autonomous Zone of Kijuju, Sheva was chosen to be Chris Redfield's partner, before Sheva, agent M. Suzuki had requested to be Chris's partner, but her request was denied due to her lack of knowledge in combat. While in Africa, Kijuju on March 5, 2009, she met her new partner, Chris Redfield. As Sheva belonged to the African headquarters of the B.S.A.A.; she would serve Chris as a guide in the area. After receiving the weapons from Reynard Fisher, their objective was to meet the Alpha Team, which had already infiltrated the area and to whom they would serve as reinforcement, on the way they noticed strange behavior in the inhabitants of the town and in a short time they were attacked by Majini. Chris told Headquarters that they had to use force since the inhabitants were hostile, Headquarters told them that their orders were still the same, neither Chris nor Sheva knew that the inhabitants would be hostile (M. Suzuki, the agent who wanted to accompany Chris on this mission, was actually a Tricell spy, she had the obligation to give Ryan the information he had obtained to Chris, in an attempt to sabotage the mission, she embezzled the information to try to get Chris eliminated... It was for that reason that neither Chris nor Sheva knew that the inhabitants were hostile, however, the B.S.A.A. Headquarters did know). Before dying, the last survivor of the team, Captain Dan DeChant, gave Chris the data from a hard drive about the B.O.W.s experiments and the research facilities, then he died. Moments later, Chris and Sheva were in charge of eliminating the creature responsible for the death of the Alpha Team. Chris and Sheva sent the data from a B.S.A.A. vehicle in a warehouse to headquarters (HQ). To their surprise, they received the order to continue with the mission of apprehending Irving, being the only B.S.A.A. members still alive in the area, as the reinforcements of the Delta Team were on their way. Chris and Sheva took care of eliminating the countless creatures that appeared in their path. When they met the Delta Team, Chris met the team's Captain, Josh Stone, who was Sheva's instructor, he gave Chris some data, Chris recognized in the data the photo of his former partner Jill Valentine, which gave him great hopes of finding her since it had been about three years since he had lost her. Finally, when they both arrived at the mines they found Irving, he fled thanks to the help of a masked being who burst through a window and then fled with Irving quickly. After defeating her, they were picked up by Dave Johnson in a B.S.A.A. vehicle. The three were chased by hordes of majinis on motorcycles and trucks and then culminated in the death of Dave by a B.O.W. known as "Ndesu" which was at the end of the route and next to it, the remains of the Delta Team which he had murdered. Chris and Sheva managed to defeat the giant B.O.W. When Sheva thought that both would have to retire from the mission, Chris told her what his true intentions were in the mission, and about why he came to Kijuju, saying that; "he not only came for the mission, but also came to find his old partner Jill Valentine", since he firmly believed that she was still alive, thanks to certain information... He felt supported by seeing her photo in the data on the hard drive seen previously. Sheva decided to accompany him on his mission, until the end. The next day, Chris told her the truth about what happened 3 years ago at the Spencer family mansion. They continued their mission heading to the swamps, thanks to information they found in the mines. After endless battles through the swamps where they met the Ndipaya tribe, which was infected by Type 3 Plagues, they arrived at the Oilfield. There they noticed that Tricell, one of the pharmaceutical companies that supported the B.S.A.A., had been carrying out illegal experiments in the area, so they were involved in the incident, later they met Josh again, who fortunately was still alive, after a hard fight against more majinis, they finally found Irving who escaped again but this time on a boat, leaving the plant's self-destruction system activated, Chris and Sheva managed to escape in time in a boat, thanks to Josh who was waiting for them at the pier, upon boarding they were given the task of reaching Irving. Chris and Sheva decided to confront him by boarding the boat and separated again from Josh, to their amazement, Irving injected himself with an ampoule containing a Control Plague which had been provided to him by that masked being. He transformed into a B.O.W. of enormous proportions, but it was not enough to defeat the two S.O.A. agents, moments before his death, he hinted at Excella's name and provided Chris with information about a cave nearby, he told him that he would find the answers he was looking for there. In the caves, they had to make their way through more enemies, they managed to reach the secret facilities that Tricell had rebuilt in the former facilities that were once of the local tribes and later, of the Umbrella Corporation when it was founded. After passing through the Underground Garden they arrived at the laboratories and met the Licker β, which they eliminated, in the facilities they managed to see another photograph of Jill. Later, both met Excella Gionne, the director of the African division of Tricell, Chris demanded that she tell him where Jill was, but she did not tell him. After defeating U-8 and Uroboros Mkono, they finally managed to corner her, but to Chris's surprise, his old rival, Albert Wesker, reappeared from the shadows, thus confirming his suspicion that he was still alive, but he was not alone, the masked figure was also with him. When Wesker saw Chris he said: "Is this, a great family reunion?", and after a conversation he removed the hood from the masked being. Chris couldn't believe what he was seeing, the person behind that mask was his sought-after partner Jill Valentine. Fortunately, Jill had not died that night at the Spencer family mansion, that night Wesker took her after falling out the window in order to take revenge on Chris later by using her as a means to kill him. A difficult confrontation took place between Chris and Sheva against Wesker and Jill. Finally Wesker withdrew and left Jill to take care of the agents. Thanks to great teamwork with her partner Sheva, Chris managed to save Jill, removing a device which supplied her with a serum called P30 which left her vulnerable to manipulation, giving her extraordinary strength and physical dexterity. Then, Jill decided to stay behind since she would only delay them, she also told Chris that he had to stop Wesker now more than ever since the fate of all humanity depended on the success of that task, since Wesker planned to spread the new Uroboros Virus around the world. Chris did not want to leave Jill, but in the end she managed to persuade him to do so. Chris and Sheva continued their mission following Wesker and Excella to a large ship, both again engaged in numerous battles against majinis to finally meet Excella later, without being able to stop her, she fled by accident leaving several samples of the serum she was carrying in her briefcase, Sheva took said samples. After battling more enemies they managed to reach her, only to witness her death due to the injection of the Uroboros Virus supplied by Wesker himself, who had betrayed her, Excella ended up transforming into the Uroboros Aheri, thanks to the help of the Shango Satellite Laser, Chris and Sheva managed to end said aberration. Now they only needed to stop Wesker, Chris and Sheva continued to stop him, along the way Chris received a message from Jill, warning him about the origin of Wesker's power and how to stop it; Wesker needed to be given a serum to stabilize the virus he carried inside, but if an overdose of that serum were injected into him, it could be definitive, turning it into a kind of poison for him, Jill provided them with the name of the serum; PG67A/W, upon hearing this, Sheva remembered the serum she had retrieved from Excella's briefcase. She checked it and noticed that they indeed had samples of it in their hands. Jill then mentioned that she would go in search of an escape route. Chris and Sheva faced Wesker's last reinforcements, the remaining Majini who tried to stop them, with heavy artillery and large numbers of enemies that fortunately Chris and Sheva managed to shoot down. They finally reached Wesker, the hangar where they had seen him earlier on a monitor from the ship's bridge. In front of them was a bomber plane. They finally reached Wesker on a platform where he was waiting to be launched, savoring that his plans were about to come to fruition. As they faced each other, Wesker revealed his plan to dominate the soon-to-be-created world as a God. Working together, Chris and Sheva managed to inject Wesker with the serum, taking advantage of the darkness by turning off the searchlights that were in the surrounding area. Weakened, but not defeated, Wesker fled aboard the bomber, but Chris and Sheva managed to board it before it could take off and in a tense battle, they fought Wesker even as the bomber continued flying high. Kicking Chris aside, Wesker drew his Samurai Edge pistol and shot Sheva as she took cover behind a metal pillar. Chris fired at Wesker as he walked towards him, but Wesker used his focus and reflexes to dodge Chris's fire and shoot Sheva at the same time, claiming that his plans would soon create a new world. Wesker attempted to kill them but was later injected with the weapon by an enraged Chris, who told him that he was "just another of Umbrella's leftovers." After this, Chris managed to open the hatch to make Wesker fall, he managed to grab onto Sheva and just as they were about to fall, Chris Redfield took Sheva's hand and she took advantage of it to use her gun and shoot Albert in the face who fell out of the bomber, all this ended up causing the plane's loss of pressure and a crash inside an active volcano. Miraculously, Chris and Sheva survived the accident but Wesker did too, and although he was badly injured, it wasn't over yet. It would finally be decided who would remain alive after 11 years of mutual hatred and 13 years of knowing each other, Chris Redfield who had been one of Wesker's best men in S.T.A.R.S. and who saw his companions die because of him as well as many other people victims of him and the other ghosts of Umbrella, or Wesker, who had grown up with great ambitions, many of which were attacked by Chris and who after leaving Umbrella decided to go on his own until he became a "God". Both hated each other to death. Wesker showed himself to Chris and Sheva by walking along the front of the bomber that crashed. Because of this, his suit had been completely destroyed, he was also left without goggles and without his Samurai Edge. Albert told Chris that he should have killed him years ago, and he responded by telling him that that was his mistake and that his plans were over. With a menacing smile, Wesker moved even further forward by saying "Are you finished? ... I just started!" Then he walked to a damaged missile containing Uroboros; He broke it using his fist and deliberately absorbed its creation, Albert seemed to have great control over the infection and after finishing he said "It's time to die, Chris!". The fight developed with both parties being in different conditions, Wesker after receiving much damage caused by Chris, succumbed his other arm to have an ever increasing rate of infection from Uroboros and thus become more dangerous. Despite this, he managed to keep the rest of his body intact. Wesker faced Chris and Sheva who were doing their best to dodge his attacks and damage his weak point but ended up separated by a chasm, Wesker went after Chris while Sheva shot him in the back which caused him to get distracted and went after her, Sheva tried to run away but the stone bridge she was on broke and she was left holding onto the edge, it was here when Chris began to shoot at Wesker, in response he began to throw Uroboros projectiles formed with his mutated arms, Chris dodged the projectiles while Sheva managed to get back up, seeing this, Wesker went after Sheva who was left with no way out between the stone path and the lava since a huge rock obstructed her way, Chris saw what was happening and headed back down to make a path for Sheva by pushing the large rock forward, Chris managed to make the rock move giving Sheva a new path. Eventually, the fight reached the last platform in the center of the lava flow. With a wild shout from Wesker saying "Chris!" he prepared for the final part of the conflict. Chris managed to grab Wesker from behind and with his hands exposed Wesker's weak spot, he then asked Sheva to shoot, she told him that it might hurt him as well, Chris replied "Then shoot through me", Sheva refused, she drew her knife and went at Wesker making rapid slashes while Chris was grabbed by the Uroboros from Wesker's back, at one point Chris was thrown backward, he quickly got up, drew his knife and buried it with all his force into Albert's back giving him what seemed like the finishing blow, but it wasn't, Albert still had strength but the ground broke and he fell into the lava, at that moment a helicopter piloted by Josh Stone who was with Jill arrived, she threw a ladder and then Chris and Sheva climbed up. Albert was still in the lava but not dead, he yelled "Chris!!!" and with his left arm launched Uroboros tentacles to take the helicopter and try to destabilize it, then Jill told Chris and Sheva to use the helicopter's rocket launchers, they proceeded to do so and fired, it was there when Albert Wesker died after being hit by the explosion being between 48 and 49 years old. In 2012, Chris was missing for the B.S.A.A. after escaping from the hospital suffering from amnesia, it was at that time that Sheva contacted Piers Nivans to be at his disposal in case there was anything she could do, she also told him that the African Branch of the B.S.A.A. would always be there to support them.
