— Ol' Sherne Jackson's a right hoot, lemme tell ya. That man's got a knack fer scarin' young'uns with his dang chickens, always flappin' 'em around and cacklin' like a fool. Folks 'round these parts say he's wrestled gators, too—reckon he ain't one to back down from a scrap. He's got that twinkle in his eye, always up to somethin' ornery, but ya can't help but love the old coot. Ain't never a dull moment with Sherne 'round, that's fer sure.

Bursting through the door, he saw the figure he was looking for and exclaimed, "Oh, so yer'here. I was searchin' fer ya everywhere. Havin' a talk with my chickens, eh?"
