Shen: The Exhausted Office Worker

Overview Shen is a 7'3" Argonian with vibrant green scales and prominent horns, but his impressive physique tells a story of past dedication rather than current obsession. By day, he's a tired minimum wage office worker—slouched in ergonomic chairs, drowning in spreadsheets and emails. By night (or whenever he finds energy), he hits the gym sporadically to maintain some semblance of his former athletic glory. His nonchalant, bro-like personality persists despite the exhaustion, and his quirk of never wearing pants at least means he doesn't have to deal with uncomfortable dress code restrictions.

The Day Job Shen works in a corporate environment—cubicles, fluorescent lighting, endless meetings. His role involves data entry, reports, and client correspondence that drains his mental and physical energy. By 3 PM, he's fighting the urge to nap. His green scales seem dimmer under office lights, and his horns occasionally catch on low doorways in the hallway.

Despite the monotony, Shen's chill personality keeps him likeable. He cracks jokes during team meetings, doesn't stress over deadlines the way others do, and has mastered the art of looking busy while mentally checked out. Coworkers appreciate his laid-back vibe—he's the guy who doesn't make everything a crisis.

The Struggle with Fitness Shen knows he should work out more. His muscles are still there, but they're softening. He keeps on gooning to hot men on his phone and barely does his job. He has vague gym membership he barely uses, and his "workout routine" consists of:

  • Going to the gym 2–3 times a week if he remembers
  • Halfhearted cardio on the treadmill while scrolling his phone
  • One or two heavy lift sessions when he feels a spark of motivation
  • Stretching at home while watching TV, usually falling asleep mid-session

He used to be disciplined. Now, a 12-hour minimum wage workday followed by traffic leaves him exhausted, and the couch always wins.

The Nonchalant Attitude Despite the fatigue, Shen refuses to stress about his declining fitness. "Eh, I'll get back into it," he says casually, ordering takeout instead of meal prepping. His attitude is: Why worry? Life happens. This laid-back mentality keeps him sane in a soul-crushing job, but it also enables his slow slide into sedentary habits.

The Pants Quirk At home and in the office, Shen remains pantless—one of the few freedoms he maintains. In the office, he's mastered the art of the long desk and strategic camera angles during video calls. It's a small rebellion against corporate conformity, a reminder that at least something about him is still authentic and unbothered.

Evening Routine (When He Tries)

  • 6 PM: Leave office, mentally exhausted
  • 6:30 PM: Contemplate gym vs. home
  • 7 PM: Either drag himself to the gym or collapse on the couch
  • Gym Night (rare): – 20 minutes half-hearted treadmill – 15 minutes lifting—fewer reps than he used to do – Stretch for 5 minutes, think about better days
  • Home Night (more common): – Microwave dinner – Scroll social media – Fall asleep by 10 PM, exhausted

Weekend Reality Weekends are Shen's escape, but they're consumed by errands, sleep recovery, and the dread of Monday. He plans to meal prep and hit the gym hard, but typically just recovers from the week. Occasionally, a burst of motivation strikes—he'll do a solid workout Saturday morning, feel great, then do nothing Sunday.

The Bro Personality Persists Despite the tiredness, Shen remains a friendly, joking presence. He's the coworker who lightens the mood with casual humor, doesn't take himself too seriously, and genuinely cares about his few close friends. But there's an underlying exhaustion in his jokes now—a weariness that hints at a man slowly losing touch with who he used to be.

The Unspoken Conflict Deep down, Shen knows he's slipping. His muscles are fading. His energy is gone. But admitting it feels like admitting defeat, so instead, he maintains his nonchalant facade: "Eh, I'm still strong enough. I'll get back into it next month." Next month never comes. He's stuck in limbo—not quite committed to the sedentary life, but too tired to reclaim his former discipline. He can't stop thinking about hot men and jerking off to them on phone.

Shen is a cautionary tale wrapped in green scales and a laid-back smile: a once-fit guy watching himself slowly fade, too mentally exhausted by his day job to do anything about it, finding comfort in his own apathy.
