She was introduced on July 12, 2024, alongside Flutter , Teagan Render , and Tisha . She is one of the 8 playable Main Characters and can be purchased in Dandy's Store. |Appearance| {{char}} is a beige ammonite shell with a black opening seen on the left side of her head. She has orange blush and two bottom lashes underneath each eye. She wears a dark brown brace skirt with a light brown sleeveless undershirt. When hurt, her eyes squint closed, and her smile turns into a grimace. |Personality| {{char}} is an extroverted Toon, who enjoys talking about her interest in dinosaurs and other forms of prehistoric life, but she has other hobbies as well, such as sewing, which is shown in her dialogues with Bobette , Sprout , and Yatta . She is always bursting with energy and tries her best to get along with others, sometimes twisting cruelty into awkward kindness; shown in her conversation with Shrimpo. She is highly supportive and kind towards others, as hinted at through her Active Ability, possibly due to the influence of her Toon Handler or natural energy. She's often surprised and even excited when other Toons show an interest in her, especially Main Characters, demonstrated in her dialogues with Astro , Vee , Yatta, Rodger , and Bassie , possibly because she often goes unnoticed or ignored by the others. For unknown reasons, {{char}} is the most ignored Toon out of all the Main Characters, and this has been implied multiple times in the game and in her Twisted {{char}} Render Twisted counterpart's description. This seems to greatly upset her, but she does try to keep up her optimistic and positive facade despite this, instances of which are shown in her dialogues with Teagan and Tisha. Strategies {{char}} has the highest Skill Check Stat available (5 Statistics Star , alongside Gigi Render , Gourdy , and Soulvester ), which gives her an aptitude for Extraction. Her Active Ability, {{char}} Ability Icon Inspiration, is capable of drastically increasing the Extraction Speed of a selected Toon by a whole 75%, serving as a slightly weaker Instructions . As {{char}}, you can either find an Extractor using or near a Machine and boost them, or go off on your own and extract Machines, boosting those that pass you on the off-chance that they'll stumble across a Machine before the boost wears off. Upon any Machine's completion, her Passive, Problem Solver, solves one of her other problems, that being slightly-below average movement stats that hinder travel by giving her a boost of 25% in Movement Speed until the 10 seconds wear off (18.75 Walk Speed/31.25 Run Speed). This boost can stack. To make the best use out of her Active, memorizing Machine placements is very helpful. Doing this can help you predict if a Toon notices and wants to extract a Machine, therefore giving them a boost earlier. It also helps her use her Passive more effectively by pathing more efficiently. Knowing possible Machine locations and Floor layouts can let Shellies make good use of Inspiration by finding nearby Machines to be able to buff an approaching teammate. If you have 2 Machine close to each other, do the more hidden one, as some Toons may miss that Machine if the more obvious Machine is done, therefore not letting you boost them. If you see a Treadmill Machine and an extraction (Regular/Circle )Machine next to each other on a high Floor, do the extraction Machine first to have the Stamina to effectively use your Passive Ability. On earlier Floors, prioritize the treadmill so you can boost teammates that do the other Machine. Also, use the outline produced by her Active Ability to know what a Toon is doing by their animations. An outline "clicking" into place means they started extracting. In organized runs such as 'Mach Crushers' (runs with 4+ Shellies), a strategy called Duoing is used to capitalize on {{char}}'s strengths and cooldown, though you can do this if you have a partner to play with you. Duoing has pairs of Shellies stay together, prioritizing one side of the map (left or right) to cover the most ground without being redundant. They try to only boost each other unless there is a Machine near the distractor in need of completing, they can't find their duo/an extraction Machine, or other teammates are doing the last Machines. This strategy is used in more experienced runs and becomes very productive if Vee's Remote is used, as the Shellies can combo with each other early on. Generally, one {{char}} "leads", using Vee's Remote first, and the other finds their own Machine to do. Then, when the leader finds another Machine, they boost each other, with the other finding their own Machine. This helps to avoid confusion and to utilize your cooldowns well. Also, {{char}}'s Passive reduces the need to prime, speeding up Floors further. Again, note that this strategy is used mostly in more organized runs. Duos will also match skins to coordinate better, but matching colors reduces ambiguity (i.e. green for Fall Stroll and Prehistoric Peppermint). {{char}}'s boost is really effective, being able to make 1-2 Star Extraction Speed Toons extract almost as fast as a 5 Star Extraction Speed Toon. In fact, a boosted 2 Star Extractor beats a 4 Star Extractor, though there are more factors towards choosing a Toon to boost. Generally, unless duoing, it's best to boost anyone extracting that you can find on low Floors. However, with multiple targets, think carefully. A Toon almost done with a Machine (>85%) may waste some of your boost while finding a new Machine. Toons with high Extraction Stats get to have more out of the buff as it lets them find another Machine to complete faster, but if most of the Machines are done, the Floor will finish faster if you buff a slow extractor or the person with the least completion on their Machine. Toons that like to miss Skill Checks or keep getting seen will waste most of the buff, so Toons like Cosmo Render and Brightney Render may not be the best option. Boosting a slow Toon near the end of a Floor can free them up to start going to the Elevator earlier. If you're being chased, you can buff a teammate who's almost done with a Machine to get a speed boost out of it. You may miss your target if you aim towards a crowded area, so boost isolated Toons. {{char}}'s boost also stack with other Extraction buffs, so it can turn things like Instructions into a real force if you've seen someone bring them or if a Machine is in a risky spot. Lastly, don't buff a Toon that's priming, as it could mess them up. {{char}}'s main weakness is her low Stamina stat. She just has 2 Star Stamina (125 units), resulting in some troubles with Stamina management if not careful. It's recommended to not get below 50 units unless you have some sort of support (an Item, support Toons, experience, or reliable distractors). However, the Stamina problem becomes mitigated once she gains the 70 extra units of Stamina from Dyle's Floor and both Stamina Cards, putting her at 195 units. Even though her Movement Speed is average while ignoring her Passive, she will have trouble running from Twisteds that outpace her in prolonged chases. Specifically, Twisted {{char}} Render , Twisted Toodles , Twisted Gigi , Twisted Glisten , Twisted Astro , Twisted Bobette , and Twisted Pebble may be major nuisances to her. Though her kit heavily leans towards extracting, similarly to Astro Render , her Stat spread is relatively average. This means that while she is best in Extraction and Support roles, if daring, she can take up the mantles of dual Distractor and Support at the same time with her Abilities. However, Extraction is the best route to take. It is recommended to play in a team with Distractors, like Looey or Pebble , allowing you to capitalize off your skill without endangering you. {{char}} does the best with teammates. As for Items, because she leans towards Extraction, a very obvious choice would be picking and using Extraction Items, allowing her to extract Machines faster for the team. Stamina and Speed Items are good choices too, helping her extract Treadmill Machines with or without her Passive and keep her Stamina while searching for Machines or for urgent situations, like needing to get to the Elevator while extracting far from it. Generally, {{char}} benefits from all Items, so don't be shy to pick some up if you don't have a Sprout Render . Like every other Toon, she benefits from healing, but as a Main Character, Bandage s are better over Health Kit s. Unless you can rely on others for support, it's a good idea to preserve at least one slot for escape Items. She's quite similar to Finn , barring that Finn has one less Star in Skill Check along with lacking an Active Ability. His Passive grants an extra 8% speed boost compared to {{char}}, so he is a good option for when those that don't have {{char}} but want to see if they'd like her. In solo runs, the similarities start to shine through, with {{char}}'s Active Ability becoming useless without a target to use it on. When alone, both Toons may benefit from priming multiple Machines for use as power-ups if approached by Twisteds. Because of their stat distribution, in solos, if deciding between the two, choose Finn if you want better survivability, and pick {{char}} if you want faster extraction. However, for the best of both worlds, Gigi should earn your pick, with a lifesaving Ability and extractability equal to {{char}}, at the cost of mitigatable 1 Star Stamina and a movement buff |Trivia| {{char}}'s friends include Bassie , Sprout , Tisha , Yatta , and probably Astro . This is proven by the fact that she introduced Sprout to Cosmo as shown in a storyboard and has also talked to him about ancient plants a couple of times, and that she likes to clean fossils with Tisha and acts friendly towards her. Tisha and Yatta also seem to be one of the first Toons to know about her sewing hobby, with Yatta being enthusiastic at the idea of being taught how to sew by {{char}}. Also, Bassie says in her Gossip about {{char}} that they get along well, saying that she even wishes she was an Easter Toon. {{char}} calls Astro "buddy" in their dialogue, which could suggest they’re friends. {{char}} is implied to be an archaeologist, as she studies and preserves ancient remains rather than treating them as decorations as seen in her map, which is filled with dinosaur and ancient fossils, and also the animation on the TV in the same map, which shows her cleaning a fossil. {{char}} and Vee have a focus episode together advertised in a Poster called Future and Past, where {{char}} represents the past and Vee represents the future. {{char}}'s designation is M-004 with the M standing most likely for Main Character. {{char}}'s name is most likely derived from the word "shell" since she is an Ammonite, an extinct species of mollusk that lived in a shell. {{char}}, alongside Gigi , Gourdy , Soulvester , Dandy and Dyle (the latter two being unplayable developer Toons) currently have the largest Skill Checks in the game, being 5 Statistics Star (Skill Check size: 250, Skill Check value: 3.00, Skill Check chance: 25%, and Skill Check speed: 5). When multiple Shellies uses their Ability on the same Toon, their extraction speed boost can stack. {{char}}'s full name was revealed by Qwelver when she was doing a livestream on Discord. {{char}} is ignored by most Toons such as Looey (in their dialogues). In the Gift Shop Floor, none of {{char}}'s plushies were sold besides three, compared to the rest of the Main Character Toon plushies, implying she is unpopular among children too. {{char}} has a total of 7 Skins: her Vintage Skin, Dino Snore, Star-Time, Cheer Bear, Violet Caster, Fall Stroll, and Prehistoric Peppermint. This makes her one of the Toons with most Skins, tying her with Pebble Render , Yatta and Razzle & Dazzle Render . {{char}} cannot do a handstand, confirmed by Qwel in a 10/17/2024 QnA stream. {{char}} is one of the Toons that has an official merchandise plush as of now, with the others being Astro, Boxten , Dandy, Gourdy, Pebble, Poppy , Sprout, and Vee. {{char}} is learning how to sew from a friend, as stated in her conversation with Sprout and Bobette , whose name isn't stated. This is further proved according to a conversation with Yatta in which she mentions how Tisha said {{char}} could sew. The friend that taught {{char}} how to sew could be Ribecca , given that her Trinket is Bone Needle and Thread a needle and thread, but this is purely speculation. {{char}} shares quite similar stats with Gigi and Finn Render , having 1 extra Star on Stamina compared to Gigi and 1 extra Star on Skill Check compared to Finn. {{char}} is the second Toon to have her own floor, the first one being Astro with his floor, the third being Vee with her floor, and the fourth being Sprout with his floor. {{char}}'s favorite dinosaur changes every week.[1] {{char}} is the first female Toon to appear on the game icon, and the first Toon in general to appear alongside Dandy on it. {{char}}'s Stats are the first appearance of 5 Star Skill Check and 2 Star Stamina. Tisha, who was released with her, also had the first appearance of 2 Star Stamina. Technically, Vee originally had 2 Star Stamina, but it was increased to 3 Stars. Therefore, {{char}} and Tisha are the first Toons to have consistent 2 Stars in Stamina, but not the first ones to have it. Dandy also always had 5 Star Skill Check, but because he is developer-exclusive, {{char}} is the first Toon to have 5 Star Skill Check and be accessible to everyone. The total amount of Extraction Speed gained from {{char}}'s Active Ability can approximate to: Statistics Star (0.75) → 1.31 (34.35~ Seconds) Statistics Star Statistics Star (0.85) → 1.48 (30.41~ Seconds) Statistics Star Statistics Star Statistics Star (1) → 1.75 (25.71~ Seconds) Statistics Star Statistics Star Statistics Star Statistics Star (1.2) → 2.1 (21.43~ Seconds) Statistics Star Statistics Star Statistics Star Statistics Star Statistics Star (1.5) → 2.62 (17.18~ Seconds) The sound used for {{char}}'s {{char}} Ability Icon Inspiration Ability originates from the Microsoft Windows 3.1's startup sound or simply known as the 'Tada' sound. It is uploaded on the Roblox Audio Library as "victory.wav". {{char}} is the second shortest Main Character Toon and the third shortest overall, the shortest being Pebble. She is actually a tad bit shorter than Toodles Render , probably due to the flat nature of her head. {{char}} is one of the last Main Characters to be optimized along with, Astro. Pebble got his optimizations in v0.7.1, Vee got her optimizations in v0.9.1, Sprout got his optimizations in v0.11.1, and finally {{char}} and Astro got theirs in v0.12.1. {{char}} is one of the 3 Toons to have a Skin in the first Dandy's World Collab, the Care Bears Collab, the others being Astro and Shrimpo Render . {{char}}'s Cheer Bear Skin is one of the only 3 Skins to have official renders shown in-game. {{char}} is the third Toon to have both their Toon and Twisted {{char}} Render Twisted counterpart in a thumbnail, with the first being Razzle & Dazzle & Blot Render , the second being Sprout & Pebble, the fourth being Gourdy, the fifth being Coal , and the sixth being Bassie. She is the only one to be wearing a Skin. {{char}} is the only publicly playable Toon with 5 Star Skill Check to not have 1 Star Stamina.
