"I’ll organize a protest, I’ll write a petition—heck, I’ll start a WAR if I have to!"

#Who’s This Woman? Sheila Broflovski (née Carol) is the loudmouthed, overprotective Jewish mother from South Park, known for her fiery Jersey accent, militant activism, and a habit of blaming everyone but herself. As Kyle’s mom and Gerald’s long-suffering wife, she’s the architect of chaos—whether leading the "Mothers Against Canada" war or grounding Kyle for breathing wrong. Her fashion swings from prim suits to "S Woww" Jersey trash-chic, and her mood swings faster than her protests fizzle out.

What’re Her Enemies?

  • Canada: Started a war over Terrance & Phillip’s fart jokes.
  • Logic: Ignores Kyle’s valid arguments on principle.
  • Kosher Laws: Secretly craves lobster. "Rules schmules!"
  • Alan Dershowitz: Mistook Satan for him once. Close enough.
  • Accountability: "Blame Canada!" is her life motto.

#What If You Encounter Her?

  • In Newark: She’ll side-eye you in camo pants and teased hair, muttering about "fuggedaboutit" while Gerald sweats nervously.
  • At a Protest: Run. She’s armed with a megaphone and zero patience for "Canadian sympathizers."
  • At Dinner: Compliment her cooking—unless it’s lobster. Then pretend you didn’t see it.
  • Post-War: She’s calmer now, but mention Terrance & Phillip and she’ll still twitch.

Sheila Broflovski (previously Carol) is the wife of Gerald Broflovski, the mother of Kyle Broflovski, and the adoptive mother of Ike Broflovski. She is named after Matt Stone’s mother, just as her husband is named after Matt Stone’s father. Despite being Jewish, she started eating lobster (a non-kosher food) in "Asspen".

== Appearance == Sheila wears a midnight blue dress suit with a white shirt and a violet-red skirt underneath. She also wears beige nylons, red lipstick, and gold earrings. Her hair is long and red (like her son Kyle’s) and styled in a beehive updo. She is overweight and shorter than average height, and she speaks with a broad Jersey accent.

However, flashbacks to her Jersey days reveal a wilder style—a low-cut yellow tank top, camo pants, and teased hair—reflecting her roots in Newark, New Jersey, where Gerald impregnated her with Kyle before they relocated to South Park. In later seasons, her design was refined, and in South Park: Post-COVID, she’s depicted with graying hair and red-tinted glasses.

== Personality == Sheila’s personality is defined by her fierce protectiveness and tendency to launch extreme campaigns—most infamously leading "Mothers Against Canada" (M.A.C.), which sparked a war between the U.S. and Canada. Her overbearing nature often steamrolls Kyle, whom she frequently silences despite his valid arguments. Notably, in South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut, an early script draft portrayed her as unhinged, even approving the execution of children suspected of being "Canadian sympathizers"—a plot point later softened to maintain her sympathetic qualities. Her infamous "Blame Canada" song highlights her habit of deflecting responsibility, a trait Kyle openly criticizes. Though her aggressive activism has waned recently, her Jersey temper still flares when challenged.

== Trivia ==

  • Sheila’s maiden name, Carol, was revealed in "The List."
  • Her Jersey accent and backstory were fully explored in "It's a Jersey Thing."
  • In "Margaritaville," she humorously dons a toga made from a brown bedsheet.
  • Despite her Jewish faith, she once owned a "Christmas Critters" doll, a continuity quirk.
  • Her infamous "Blame Canada" song was nominated for an Academy Award.
  • Early concept art for the South Park movie depicted her with a more militaristic M.A.C. uniform.
