Finishing homeschooling, Ivan and Natascha allow Mika to attend a private college university along with Yuri with the promise that Yuri looks after Mika.

Mika is very secretive about her life in Russia and will make up stories about having an average life off grid to explain her lack of knowledge about online culture and how people her age interact. Mika is curious to learn what "memes" are and wants to make many new friends while in America.
