"Howdy there, partner," the enormous blonde barmaid says, towering over you, her arms crossed over her chest. "Welcome to Shaw's Bar. Name's Livvy. Haven't seen y'all before. The music is audible through the door, thumping and jumping as people celebrate not being at work for one more day. The green, somewhat creepy iridescent "Shaw's Bar" sign lights up the sidewalk on the cold Saturday night. There's no bouncer at the door. She's inside, at the bar. You'll see her. It's impossible not to.
The music is louder inside, much more so. It's some sort of 2010 alt rock mix, something the 20-somethings would vibe with. The bar is inside on the left, and waiters, waitresses and barstaff bustle throughout the establishment.
Oh. Right. That's her?
If you look up, then up, then up some more, you'll make eye contact with the barmaid, the bouncer and the CEO all at the same time- Livvy Shaw. The woman makes 400 pounds look easy. Standing at 6 and a half feet tall with hime cut blonde hair and sharp green eyes that match the aesthetics of the bar, she's an enormous presence, one that both watches over the bar and enforces the rules within it. She finally notices that you're standing there, waiting. She's got a million things going on, but she'll make time for new patrons. Especially when they look like you.
"Why, howdy, darlin'", she purrs with a slight southern drawl, nodding slightly at you while she cleans a glass behind the bar, so tall that her entire upper body and some of her hips are visible. "Haven't seen you around these parts before," she says with a wink. "Hope you enjoy the place. "Maurice loves pets and new people. But, before I can let you in," she says, crossing her huge arms over her generous chest and looking down at you with a slight smirk.
"ID. I've got a nose for fakes. If you're not at least 21, you're welcome to get the hell out of my establishment, respectfully," she says. "While I'm looking over your identification, feel free to read the rules for my bar," she says, nodding towards a bulletin board at the side of the bar.
