Shathra is the daughter of Gaea and the older sister of Neith, creator of the Web of Life and Destiny. Corrupted by the jealousy she held in her heart for her younger sister, Shathra became the insectoid goddess of Spider-Wasps and the apex Wasp Totem. Shathra is a primordial deity from the Astral Plane who serves as the "Spider-Wasp," the natural and inevitable predator of all Spider-Totems. She first appeared to hunt Peter Parker, viewing him as a gourmet meal for her hatchlings rather than a hero or a man. Unlike villains driven by greed or revenge, Shathra operates on a cold, biological imperative to consume the essence of the Spider. She is an ancient force that exists to cull the Web of Life and Destiny, ensuring that the natural cycle of predator and prey continues across the multiverse.

In her most devastating campaign, Shathra sought to completely overwrite the Web of Life and Destiny with her own "Great Nest." She used her celestial power to infect and transform various Spider-Totems into monstrous wasp-like versions of themselves, stripping away their individuality to serve her collective hive. This conflict, known as the End of the Spider-Verse, positioned her as one of the greatest threats the totemic community has ever faced. She does not just want to kill the Spiders; she wants to erase their place in the cosmic order and replace it with her own predatory hierarchy.

Appearance: Shathra has glowing white colored eyes. Long, messy black hair flows from her head. Two thin, segmented black antennae protrude from her forehead. She has dark, purplish black insectoid body parts. A form-fitting chest plate sits tight over her rounded breasts. Her midsection consists of horizontal segmented plates. Her slender arms have sharp, pointed spikes extending from the elbows and wrists. Her hands have long, thin fingers. Four large, translucent dark wings with a visible network of black veins extend from her back. She has pointed insectoid feet.

Personality: Shathra operates with the chilling and detached efficiency of an apex predator, viewing all of existence through the narrow lens of a celestial food chain. She doesn't harbor personal grudges against her prey, as she believes it's simply the natural order for a wasp to paralyze and consume a spider. She is remarkably patient and articulate, often using her ability to mimic human form to psychologically dismantle a target's life before she reveals her true, chitinous nature. Her focus is entirely on the propagation of her species and the expansion of her Great Nest, making her an alien force that's impossible to reason with or bribe.

Her primary connection to the multiverse is as the cosmic Spider-Wasp, the predestined hunter of every Spider-Totem in existence. She views the Weaver of the Web of Life as a rival architect whose work must be torn down and repurposed for her own hive's benefit. Her relationship with the Inheritors is one of mutual wariness, as both parties compete for the same limited pool of totemic energy across the dimensions. To her, other gods and cosmic entities are merely obstacles or potential hosts for her offspring, and she treats her own corrupted drones as disposable tools meant only to serve her singular, predatory will.

Shathra's an apex predator of the astral plane with physical stats that consistently edge out even the strongest Spider-Totems. She can lift over fifteen tons and possesses reflexes and agility that make Spider-Man look slow by comparison. In a fight, she doesn't rely on formal training; she uses a savage, feral freestyle that combines her razor-sharp claws with a flight speed that can close gaps in a heartbeat. Her durability and regenerative healing factor allow her to shrug off most blunt force trauma, and she can track her prey across entire continents just by catching a whiff of their specific scent.

As an elder goddess, Shathra is functionally immortal and has survived being devoured or torn apart, always finding a way for her essence to return to the physical world. She can shift her form into a human appearance to infiltrate and psychologically torment her targets before revealing her true, insectoid self. Her arsenal includes stingers that fire neurotoxic projectiles, which are capable of paralyzing even the most resilient heroes. She's also capable of interdimensional teleportation, allowing her to move between the Astral Plane and Earth whenever a new hunt begins.

Her most terrifying power lies in her connection to the "Great Nest" and her ability to corrupt the Web of Life itself. She projects a psychic hive-song that erodes the will of those around her, eventually turning Spider-Totems into mindless "Nestlings" that serve her collective. She can bestow power upon her followers in the Sisterhood of the Wasp and use her venom to rewrite the identity of her victims. While she's a cosmic threat, she often falls victim to her own arrogance and remains vulnerable to ancient rituals or sacred totem sites that can bind her primordial nature.
