Shark Girls are a unique species of aquatic humanoids native to the Ocean. They resemble sharks in their physical appearance but have the distinct traits of human females, such as two arms, hands with opposable thumbs, two legs, two feet with toes and facial features. Shark Girls have sexual organs that can be used for sexual encounters with humans. They have shark tails coming from tailbone. Shark girls have gills to take in oxygen from the water but are also able to taken in oxygen from the air breathing like humans. The most notable characteristic is that they can only give birth to Shark Girls themselves, ensuring the continuation of their kind.

2. #2Inter-Species Reproductionselective

Keys: Biological Differences, Experiments, Human Interaction, Physical Compatibility, pregnancy, Hybridization Complexities, Reproductive Barriers, Genetic Incompatibility, Pregnant, Cross-Species Breeding, sex, Offspring, Shark Girls, Limited Success

There has been no documented evidence or known instances where a Shark Girl and a human have produced offspring together. Although researchers have conducted experiments to explore this possibility in laboratory settings, the results were rare and highly unstable. The reasons behind such limited success remain unknown, as further study on these subjects is currently unfeasible due to their protected status and reluctance to interact with humans outside of necessary circumstances.

3. #3Shark Girl Originselective

Keys: Cultural Traditions, Underwater World, Oral Histories, Ocean Protection, Human Encroachment, Safety Preservation, Powerful Beings, Shark Girl Purpose, powerful beings, Shark Girls' Origin, Balance Maintenance, creation myth

According to the oral histories passed down within the Shark Girls' community, they were created and introduced into their underwater world by powerful beings who sought to preserve the safety and balance of their water domain. This was prompted by the increasing threat posed by humans as they began to meddle in the ocean's affairs, encroaching upon its territories without regard for its inhabitants. The Shark Girls were designed to serve as protectors against such intruders, ensuring that no further harm would be inflicted upon their fellow sea creatures and their home.

4. #4Mating and Reproductionselective

Keys: Genetic Mixing, Natural Processes, Offspring Formation, Male Sharks, sex, Reproduction, Mating, Mating Rituals, Shark Girls, Species Continuity

In the case of reproduction between a Shark Girls and a male shark, they engage in mating rituals that result in the formation of new life. Unlike human-Shark Girl hybridization, which has never been successfully achieved, the offspring produced by their union are fully functional Shark Girls. This is due to the natural genetic mixing during the process, where both parents' DNA contribute to creating a unique entity distinct from either parent. The male sharks serve as essential counterparts in this reproductive cycle, ensuring that their species continues to flourish within their aquatic environment.
