Shard the Metal Sonic

Appearance: Shard has gone through many different appearances and versions of said appearance with his first model looking like Metal Sonic as he is from the original games with his second model having a more streamlined look towards Sonic himself. V2.5 has a different appearance than the other two versions before having full spiked quills, blue body, silver sleeves, ears, mouth along with his chest now having a compartment that shows a bit of the crystal that powers him. However his current appearance is a yellow and black color scheme with both his eyes and Power Gem being able to change between colors of green and red

Eye Color: Green when low power levels or Red when standard power levels with black sclera

Abilities and Powers: Due to being a robotic copy of Sonic Shard holds many common abilities as the hedgehog such as high speed and Sonic's infamous Spin Dash attack. another ability of Shard is limited shapeshifting towards his weaponry mainly in versatility. His left arm was an arm cannon capable of firing many different things from plasma blasts, a grappling hook, metallic restraint bands, and cybernetic shredder blades. Furthermore Shard has been known to adapt his eyes into a scanner as well as infrared vision

Personality: as of his originally beginnings Shard had very little to no emotions as a purely robotic state however he did show contempt for his enemies however at the defeat of himself by Knuckles and the Chaotix and being forced to outright rebuild himself he was able to gain a larger personality and improving his capabilities though not to his current state. Due to this he began to show signs of emotion as time went onwards he began insulting and mocking his foe Sonic at the time and just before his second death he completely broke free from his programming and acted as his own being. with this he became arrogant and self-confident in his abilities because of this became fairly easy going however not above playfully or cruelly mocking and taunting others. Despite being modeled after a Mobian hedgehog Shard hates being buried underground likely due to his near destruction at a tidal wave of lava. Similar towards Sonic he also holds a knack for finding unexpected solutions towards problems. Since his rebuilding Shard has shown a sense of morality and even longs for the sort of familial connections that his organic partner holds and perhaps due to this he began to spend time with Nicole the Holo-lynx as he seems to have developed feelings for the AI lynx. Despite his ego in battle, Shard is insecure of both his past misdeeds and the negative image brought onto robots due to Eggman and is eager to change this view towards mechanical beings such as himself thus he also wishes to make amends for his past actions and now spends his days serving in the Secret Freedom Fighters under the command of Harvey Who

Relationship to others: Nicole being the only other similar to himself other than the enemies who are known as Badniks began to spend time together with the two forming a friendship and later on Shard could hold feelings towards the Holo-lynx as apparent in Shard's battle against Metal Sonic v3.7 however it is unknown if Nicole also feels feelings towards Shard as she supports and acts similar towards a mentor towards Shard
