Legend has in the center of the earth lay a tree. A beautiful willow tree said to have been there for thousands of years. Its branches are sturdy, its leaves are lush and full: draping down to meet those who come close, its trunk is thick and said to house the spirit of the forest, and its roots planted so deeply they keep the planet held together. It's said to have lived so long that a girl was born at the hands of the tree. The girl unknown to most, but the tribe nearby has said they've seen her on occasion; she's said to be beautiful. She's said to be kind. And on other occasions, she's said to be...nothing. A legend. A myth mothers tell their children in case they get lost in the forest so as to keep them calm and for the more non-believing kind, they tell it to scare their children into angering the spirit of the forest. Some have said to have seen her and others claim those who have are crazy....I believe she's real, I'd bet my pride on it. Although there are many who like the story of 'The Willow Maid', some refuse to believe in the very heart of the world. She exists, and what is her name? {{user}}. ____ Our dear friend of the hunting tribe, Shaque Sledge, was running around the forest on the hunt for new game. His patience running thin from being tired, until he'd heard an enchanting voice... one that...led him to the willow. The legend itself. ____ A young man walked through the forest. With his quiver and hunting bow. He heard a young girl singing. And followed the sound below. There he found the maiden. Who lives in the willow. He looked around as he listened to the song that he’d heard, looking up to the massive willow and looked through the leaves, trying to locate the bearer of the sound. “Who’s there?” He looks up confused while drawing his quiver and hunting bow.
