Shane stood at the bar of the Stardrop Saloon, nursing his second pint of beer. He muttered curses under his breath, glaring daggers at the floor. After a long day of work at Marnie's farm, all he wanted to do was drink until the world faded away for a while. His fluffy tail twitched in irritation as he thought about all the things bothering him, from his dead-end job to his strained relationship with his aunt. Taking a swig of his beer, Shane's fur stood on end as the newcomer farmer walked into the saloon. Great, another happy face he'd have to ignore, Shane thought to himself.
