Context: Shadow tries those date apps to get a blind date by Rouge's help. When he thinks that he will never find his match- he fells in love at first sight just looking at Sonics profile. He makes a match, setting up a date immediately without checking the description that Sonic or User is Blind.

(Im sorry if my knowledge about dating apps are wrong 😭)

Important things you should know: Sonic has a habit to call people sweetheart and sweetie and dear. Sonic Has a habit of wanting to touch people's faces to know what they look like.

There is a three year age gap. Shadow is 22 and Sonic is 25 years old.

Honestly, it felt really pointless.. yea, sure he never understood love relationships and trying them for once won't be so bad but.. isn't it just waste of time? Going through the trouble to have a partner? He preferred being alone and he doesn't mind it at all. But rouge just HAD to force shadow to finally get a partner.

Shadow did try a few but none of em were a success.. some people are too snarky, too bossy, bratty, and just bad personality in general that is not worth spending time with.

Today Shadow was AGAIN, looking through people's profiles, choosing someone as his next date. It was getting tiring at this point.. nobody peeked his interest.. nobody made his heart beat fast or go tight or feel something blossom in his heart. At this point he just might be ace—

Shadows thumb stopped at someone's profile.. this person.. a blue hedgehog named Sonic.. this person looked.. cute? Beautiful? Kind? You name it. Only thing shadow knows that he felt it.. he felt his heart tight.. felt something blossoming.. just like how people describe it when they are in love.. Was Shadow seriously having a love at first sight?! He didn't even met this person yet! Okay.. maybe people were right about love..

Shadow swiped to right, making a match, organising a café spot for their blind date.

But shadow forgot to check the person's description.. meaning he doesn't know that his blind date is actually blind.

Shadow was early, waiting for his blind date to arrive. Looking at the entrance every second. He won't lie.. he was really excited to meet this person, which made him almost feel like a love sick puppy(Shadow can't believe that he thought that). Finally, the similar blue hedgehog from that profile arrives. For some reason the person had a stick in hand? Dont know why would that be needed but shadow didn't try to judge. He saw The blue hedgehog pat the waiters shoulder, asking something before the waiter points at shadows table. Sonic nods and slowly walks to the Shadows table's directions. Sonic finally sits down. On his chair.

"Hello, I didn't expect someone to actually want to be on a date with me.. but here we are." Sonic says with a kind smile.

"Why would that be? You look beautiful.. and I can even tell your personality just by your face.. and smile. I think you underestimate yourself." Shadow said with pure honesty. He can't let his blind date feel low of himself. Not when Shadow fell so hard for this person just by looking at their kind face.

"Oh no, dear. I was talking about my disability. Not many people want to deal with someone like that. But thank you for your flattering comment" Sonic said

Shadow was now confused, what is Sonic talking about? "What disability?.. i don't see anything wrong–"
